To carve out time to work on your business, ask yourself questions like these:
- How much time do I spend watching tv?
- How much time do I spend on social media?
- Could I get up 30 minutes earlier than I usually do?
- Could I cook a more simple dinner one night a week?
- Do I have to sit and wait for appointments?
Asking these questions will help you find some time to spend developing your business. The really great thing is that you will likely get a lot of satisfaction from your work, making it easy to put in the time. I love working on my sites and find I get more out of it than tv or time on Facebook
If you spend an hour or two a day watching tv, cut back by 30 minutes. You can use that time each day for your business...and may find you enjoy it so much that you want to squeeze in even more time for it. A WA member shared bringing their laptop to appointments where they had to wait. Even without internet access, you can work on writing for your site. I love that idea. In fact, I now look forward to one of my kid's weekly appointments where I have 45-50 minutes to myself to work on an article!
Be selfish with this time!!
If you set aside 30 minutes or an hour to work on your business that is your time and it is okay to say "no" when someone wants you to do something during that time!
