Before proceeding to set up our default email client, let's double check our link one last time.
Here's a quick example on how to create a "mailto" link. If you're not familiar with html, pay special attention to how it's written out. A slight deviation will cause your link to not work properly.
Example:
For further information, feel free to <a href="mailto:youremail@.com">contact</a> me
How it will appear on your site (bold is clickable link)
For further information, feel free to contact me
Now let's break the link down into 2 separate parts:
1) <a href="mailto:youremail@.com">
This is your actual destination email, where you want to send people. You insert your email address This part does not show in your content on your website.
2) contact</a>
The word "contact" is the actual clickable link that people will click on, to be redirected to your email. Notice how it has been nested, how it come immediately after You've closed the link, following your email address. and the word contact is what will appear in blue in your content on your website.
So here's the whole link again, as you write it in the "text" section of wordpress.
<a href="mailto:youremail.com">contact</a>
So now that you've double checked your link, and all is good, let's move on.
