1. Live Chat
Live Chat is the place where members go to say: "Hi! Good morning WA!" when they have just logged in. It's the place for asking quick questions, like: "Who remembers the webinar where Jay refers to the KFC promotional example? New members are also encouraged to go over to Live Chat and ask their questions.
Some members just love Live Chat and they can be frequently seen and contacted there. But others completely avoid it. And they present valid reasons. Some of them are:
- Live Chat is a waste of time: and I kinda understand what they mean. You could chat for an hour or two on Live Chat and that may be wasting your time. But first of all, in business, relationships are important. And if you could spend (let’s not say 2 hours, but 15 minutes each day) with like minded people as you, it should not be considered wasting your time, but building relationships. It depends on how you view it.
- Live Chat is to fast: and it truly could go pretty fast at times. Everybody writing in, and multiple conversations taking place, it could be confusing sometimes. If this is your case you could focus on one member at a time. Don’t get distracted with all the other conversations. Just answer and write to only one person. When that conversation is ended, then start talking with another member, and devote all your attention to him as well.
Now, what are the advantages of being on Live Chat.
- You build personal relationships with wonderful and very helpful members, that you can later call friends.
- Questions arise in Live Chat, and the answers to those questions also come up spontaneously. Some times the answer is a combination of all the answers. In other occasions you get both points of view on a certain subject. We can learn a lot hearing the answer to other member’s questions. We even get exposed to things that are very useful for us, but if it had not been for Live Chat we would have never discovered they existed.
- You can obviously make your own questions. You’ll be impressed (if you have not discovered this already) how other members will immediately try to help. That’s cool indeed!
- You can help others. You may not have a long time at WA, but there will always be members that have just joined that ask things you already know. You can help them. It’s important to not answer anything we are not sure about. And our answers to new member should be as clear as possible. They have just arrived at the platform and their first impression may be built on how they have been treated at Live Chat.
But as a general over view, Live Chat will help you learn more about Wealthy Affiliate. It will help you understanding the platform better. And it will help you build your network of like minded entrepreneurs.
