Page 5 – Why you need to stop obsessing about keywords

Did you ever play that game where there is a line of people and the first person passes a message to the person next to them and it keeps getting passed on down to the last person in the line? What normally happens when the last person gets it? The final message is different than the original.

Well the same could be said for the misinformation that is still floating around out there on the internet about using keywords. Ask yourself this question, where in the WA training does Kyle say that content needs to be a certain keyword density to get high rankings? I know he says that we do not need to always target a keyword and will still get ranked (proof on page 5).

SO STOP USING KEYWORD DENSITY!!!

Google does not even use keyword density anymore to know what your pages and posts are all about. When the Google Hummingbird algorithm update was launched in 2013, the final piece in Google’s new way of indexing your content was implemented. In a way, Google became more self-aware into the context of your content.

NEXT UP = Google knows more now than they did in early 2013

You are welcome Bob. I like contributing to the community by helping people understand issues I see that they seem to struggle with, especially if I have legitimate knowledge in it and it is not totally opinionated.
