Instagram hack or legitimate secret, I say that as long as Instagram allows it then it counts as a secret and not a hack. To me a "hack" is something that would get us into trouble.
I have learned from a very good source who has an inside track at Instagram that placing the hashtags in the first comment is a very good method and is actually prefered by Instagram and it's users. (Your Audience!)
I actually take it a step further by having the initial 30 #'s Hashtags in my story area then I delete all of the Hashtags except for the #TonyLeeHamilton & #MarketingVeteran for Branding purposes.
I then comment in the first comment with 28 more Hashtags by actually just pasting the same exact message from earlier without the 2 branding hashtags. So, I have only 28 Hashtags total.
I also utilize all of my other accounts to comment right away with hashtags and keywords as well.

You can also post the hashtags first with the photo and delete them 5 minutes later as well as then adding the Hashtags to the 1st comment my Friend.
Have you viewed that training where I explain the ability to delete hashtags after 5 minutes and the Instagram Algorithm still sees them as there even though they aren't?
That way you have those 30 plus the 30 in your first comment bringing in the traffic and having increased visibility.
