Hey there

I decided to create a training for creating logos both for use as a site logo and a favicon.

I'm only just started building my new site so you can see how the logos look like at http://www.mylifeismyown.com.

This is the first such video training I've ever done, so please feel free to leave me comments so I can improve! If there are any questions about this, leave them below so I can address them!

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul, very informative and well presented considering it's you first attempt at training. Just one point, get rid of that Hello World page, it makes visitors think there's nothing on your site.

Awesome Paul, you are one step ahead of us. We "killed" ours at that point and will start again! The secret of building a website is to create a file were you put all the files needed to build the website and when you are finished then upload (ftp) it to your server (host). Before you do all that make up a list of all the things you want to be on your site and that on paper. This will keep you on track. I am a good one to talk ! I know how to do it but am not using my own advice. I also found a very interesting site on the forum explaining what plugins to install on your site to speed up the functioning and improve the SEO (or whatever that is called) with Google: VERY IMPORTANT

Honestly, the only thing that jumped out at me was when you were typing on the keys, it was quite loud. I could easily overlook that though.
You spoke clearly, your explanations were easy to understand and the demonstration was easy to follow.
As for a video tutorial, it was better than many, that's for sure. You had a few ums in there, but with practice, they will stop.
Just keep doing it, and you can only get better. Kudos to you Paul.

Thanks Kat! You're most kind. This was certainly out of my comfort zone! Will see how I can reduce the sound of the keystrokes :)
