Writing and publishing your first blog post could be one of the most challenging things you have faced, especially if you are new the online environment. I was an experienced internet user when I came to Wealthy Affiliate but had no idea about blogging. So, my first blog post was a very challenging experience.

Writing the post is the most difficult part, the rest is not too difficult. But if you are first time blogger it could seem challenging.

This tutorial will focus on the following:

• How to publish
• How to add an image to a blog post
• How to add categories to the post
• How to add tags to the post.

So after you have written the posts just follow these few simple steps:

1. Login to your website dashboard

2. Once you are logged in, you will want to click “POSTS”. You can find it on the top left hand side of your dashboard (see Screenshot below).

3. Click on “Add New”

4.This will take you to the WordPress Editor where you will write your first post.

5. Once you are finished writing, all you have to do is click on Publish, which you can find on the right hand side of your dashboard. Your blog post will be live on you site.

6. Before you publish the post make sure you do the following;

a.Edit the post to eliminate spelling and grammar mistakes.

b.Give the post a title

c.Add an image to the post (optional).

d.Add a category to the post

e.Add a tag to the post.
