This a necessary part of the process so that the computer can begin to recognize your voice and the way you speak. Each voice is unique and therefore if you need someone else to dictate for you, they need to be set up as a different user on your computer. Let me know if you need help with that.

This speech tutorial is very important so that the computer can learn to recognize your voice. If you choose to skip this tutorial, you may find that the computer does not understand your voice.

Thanks for the compliment about the dogs. Just have the redhead now. lost the black one just before Christmas. He was 15 1/2 years old but was losing kidney function.
Even though he still had energy to chase the other one, we knew it was time and we didn't want him to suffer.
WE do miss him a lot but all is good and we still have the other.

I would suggest using a stand alone mic that pics up the sound coming from the speakers in the computer, just make sure you don't get feedback.

Do you know if you friend can get me a copy of Dragon Naturally Speaking? I do a lot of teaching and it would be an asset to assist other. And also to create a training tutorial on it.
I just don't have that kind of budget at all.

I found that was the problem most of the time when the typing came out garbled.
Are you able to provide a screenshot of the error in Windows Speech Recognition that says it does not follow your voice?
Have you done the Speech Recognition Voice Training part of the tutorial, that does take some time?

2/ When you speak to the computer, whilst it's listening, does it show, Typing letter keys, or What Was That?
3/ Have you been through the entire Speech Recognition Voice Training section so the computer can recognize your voice?
