Did you know you can make a Pinterest page for your business?
I admit it. Until recently, Pinterest wasn't all that interesting to me. I have a personal Pinterest account I rarely looked at except to pin books I wanted to read and recipes I wanted to try, but I've discovered it's really useful for business.
To get started, look up "Pinterest for Business" in your browser, follow the links and instructions to set up your business account and create some boards.
I created boards in categories relevant to the articles we publish. It's a little more work to remember to pin when you publish, but it's worth it. Pinterest has a very engaged audience.
Don't just pin your own stuff!
I troll Pinterest once in awhile, and find things that are relevant to my audience. I frequently pin things to my boards that aren't my articles. The point of Pinterest (and it took me awhile to figure this out) is to get people interested in what you're pinning, have them follow you, and keep coming back to your boards to re-pin. When people do this, it directs traffic not only to your Pinterest boards, but to your website. The cross pinning of other people's articles increases traffic, and it's friendly.
Pinterest for business has analytic tools!
