Have you ever come across keywords in Jaaxy that says <10 for Searches and Traffic? What does this mean? It means that keyword has Less Than 10 Monthly Searches and Traffic. Normally you do not want to use these keywords, but there are times when you will want to.
WHEN TO USE <10 KEYWORDS
There is a time and place for using keywords that have a Less Than 10 (<10) Monthly Searches and Traffic. Let us say that the subject you are writing about is an unpopular person or a brand new product. If you know or feel it will be popular in the future, then use that keyword.
I just recently wrote a post on my website exposing some current breaking news in the ongoing lawsuit by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) vs. My Online Business Education (MOBE). One of MOBE’s top earners, Steven Bransfield, had just filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
As you can see the keyword I typed into Google and then later into Jaaxy was Did Steven Bransfield file for bankruptcy. Because this is breaking news and would only be searched by people with an interest in this topic, the keyword comes up as <10 for Searches and Traffic.
Though I didn’t use this keyword exactly as I typed it into Google and Jaaxy, the search engine results that best answers that keyword query is my post about Steven Bransfield, MOBE and the FTC. However if I did use that keyword, the search engine results would still be the same.
When I did a Site Ranking of that keyword in Jaaxy as seen in the above image, I can see that I am ranked on Page 1 of Google, Bing and Yahoo, in the positions of 5, 2 and 1 respectively. Now if someone searched “did Steven Bransfield file for bankruptcy” they would see my post.
Seeing how this is breaking and ongoing news about Steven Bransfield, there is a good chance that my <10 Searches and Traffic keyword will gain more views and traffic as time and awareness grows about this topic. This shows that sometimes using a <10 keyword is justified.
