How to Use Facebook for Social Media Marketing - What I Do
OK, this is the easiest way to post a link on Facebook. As seen in the above image you would just click on “Write Post” and then place your text with your link in the “Write something…” area of the UI.
Upon pasting your link, Facebook will grab the Meta Title and Description as well as the primary image on the page or post. It will then display it and all you have to do is click the black & white arrows in the upper left corner of the picture to select an alternate picture if you want and then click Post,as seen below.
Once you click post, the link that appeared along with your text caption at the top of the post will disappear and your link with whichever image you selected will be posted, as seen in the below image. And that is it!
PREPARATION IS KEY TO EFFICIENCY
Preparation is very important if you want to save time in posting on any social media network. I am sure you are probably looking at all of the text I have written for my posts and are saying, Wow! That looks like a lot of work to type all of that each time I post to Facebook.
Actually EVERYTHING is copy & paste for me. I am the King of Social Media preparation. I have a folder on my computer with 152 different images all relevant to what I share on social media. I also have a text file of about 170 different canned sales pitches in different lengths along with the website links and hashtags.
I have created these two resources over time. Any time I would find a new and interesting image to use that is relevant I save it in the folder. The same goes for any canned sales pitches I come up with. So now when I post I just have to upload an image and copy & paste the sales pitch with link and click Post. Makes my life easier and use of time more efficient.
I hope you enjoyed my training on how to use Facebook to promote my business, and that you now have a greater understanding as in how to get better results for your marketing efforts that a Facebook Page cannot really do for you. Facebook Groups are a better way to market because they are specific to your niche.
