Hi Scott
Great tutorial - thank you.
My issue is that when I open Outlook and file>account services>account services>new I don't see the initial setup window. The one I get is as the attached screenshot #1. (I also attach screenshots 2-4 to show you the progress(?) to failure.
The other one used to come up in earlier versions of Windows but I am now on Office 365 and this has changed it.
I have been so frustrated with this problem that, having had several sessions with Site Support, I have had to switch from Outlook to Thunderbird, which sets up and works perfectly.
I am so sad not to be able to use Outlook as it has been my first choice for years.
I would appreciate any comments.

Best regards

Terry

Can you go to Control Panels and see if you have a Mail option?

I got this message: 550 relay not permitted.

I've also been trying to set up this email: info@sarahvisa.com on my mobile (android) and iPad (IOS) but it didn't work at all. Is it because of the server sarahvisa.com itself?

Did you go to more settings and configure the SMTP options? Remember the outgoing is not your domain but rather smtp.siterubix.com and uses different credentials.

Yes I did everything according to the tutorial video. And yes, I put smtp.siterubix.com (copied & pasted)

Quick question. Did you setup the email account under Site Email or is it a forward?

Very odd...can you send a screenshot of your Site Email page? Just PM me. Don’t click any of the buttons that show your passwords.

Thank You for this video. Followed it to the letter and unfortunately when I came to the additional log-in, the server name is wrong. It's got that annoying space before the server name and is restricting any connection. How do I change this?

I was also curious, with this transfer, if you run the risk of losing all of your past emails? I've had my outlook account set up through GoDaddy work emails, and there are some important ones to keep.

Here's a pic of the offending issue.

Download your GoDaddy emails before you lose connectivity to them.

As for editing the server with the blank character before it....Go to Control Panel and then Mail. In there you should see Email Accounts. Click that and then, in the E-mail tab, double-click on the account that has the problem. Make your changes there and try again.

I appreciate the support. Which control panel are you referring to? Trying to find that starting point.

In your Control Panel for Windows, you should see one for Mail. I'm not sure what version of Windows you're running but you should have a Control Panel with all kinds of apps for managing various parts of Windows.

Got it! So many different control panels to deal with these days - cPanel, Dashboard, WooCommerce, Products, Windows, WA. It's a hectic but awesome life. Thank You for the support!

Dear Scott,

Thank you so much!

Very clear training in setting the outlook email with wa webmail.

Why we need to change the numbers to 587, cannot use 25?

Cheers,
Spy

Many ISPs will block port 25 by default due to people setting up mail servers and sending out SPAM. Your ISP may allow port 25. Mine does not.

Thanks. This was very handy.

A few things worth noting for other people:
-When I started outlook it didn't give me the same level of control to create my email accounts. Newer releases use their completely lousy automatic setup. See screenshot below.
-To circumvent this and get the same screens you had I needed to do this instead:
Control Panel > Mail > Email Accounts

I also had to use Port 63 instead of 587 just in case anyone else runs into any issues.

Good to know, thanks! Yes ports may vary based on various factors including ISPs blocking some, as is common with port 25.

So I just did the screen recording option using a tool called SnagIt. The voice was just from my headset microphone.

Thanks!

Thanks, Debs, for asking that question. I wanted to ask that same question, but I let my other questions distract me.

Is Outlook a substitute for receiving emails instead of WA email accounts?
Reply
merlynmac Premium
Outlook is a program to access your WA email accounts. You can use it vs logging into the web interface to read and compose messages for email accounts you've created at WA.
