Have you ever made a change in WordPress and realised that you edited the wrong section, or something went wrong. Maybe you converted your Classic Editor Post to the new Block Editor, but you weren't happy for whatever reason, and you want to revert the changes? If yes to any of these, then this training is for you!

You may or may not be aware that WordPress actually stores all of the different versions of your Pages and Posts when you click Save or Publish. WordPress also keeps autosaves while you are editing. You can undo these changes or restore a previous version by reverting to an earlier revision.

If you are using the Block Editor instead of the Classic Editor, please use the training below

How To Revert Changes In WordPress (Block Editor)

When you are ready to proceed, please click on the Next Page button below.

Thanks for letting me know about Word press storing everything, Chrystopher. Best to get it right sooner than later Although, a web page needs constant changes throughout its life. That wouldn't slow down the page, would it?

You're welcome Joss :-) And no, the revisions will not affect your page speed, especially as most of our sites are served via the WA Cache Servers. However, there is a way to delete these revisions, which will decrease the size of your database. I will put some training together for this as well.

If you are using the Block Editor instead of the Classic Editor, I have just released a version of this training but for the Block Editor (Gutenberg) interface.

Chystopher, Now I know how to revert posts back, but I need the navigation window restored. Should I ask for a backup from WP?

If it is only the navigation, I.e. your custom menu, then I would just do this manually

Thanks Chrystopher. I was just playing with this yesterday when I was trying to fix my Amazon Images issue. I am still having some trouble with them. They were showing and then they were not again. A little frustrating. It may be a browser or start my computer again issue. That is what solved yesterday.
