You've probably heard of social media platforms, these are basically sites that enable you to manage and post to different social media accounts from one place.
You can often add all your accounts to one platform for a fee, or have a couple of platforms and split your sites up if you want to use the free versions.
The two main platforms that I currently use are;
- Hootsuite
- Buffer
Here is a screenshot of my Buffer account. As you can see I have three accounts all linked to one website - Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook.
I like Buffer because it has the option to re-buffer a post, simply at the click of a button. This is a great timesaver if you don't have any content and quickly need to set up Tweets for the day.
The other advantage of Buffer is that it will select an image for Twitter which Hootsutie doesn't do automatically, you have to add in separately. It's not a big deal but when every second counts it's something extra to do.
On Buffer you can schedule several posts in advance at whatever time suits - I tend to post 3 times a day but you can do more or less depending on your content. I also retweet but I tend to do that manually from my Twitter account from the phone, but more on that later.
I don't manage every social media account from a platform though..
