This video training has one simple goal...

To help YOU understand the process of making money online.

It is actually more simplistic than you think. Although there are many ways in which people are creating successful businesses online, there is one core component to any successful business, a website.

In this video I walk you through the process right from the initial audience, to the search in Google, to the website, to the niche, to the types of programs that you are going to be promoting to generate revenue.

There are many ways that you can earn a full time income online once you understand the fundamentals and this video is going to clarify what the fundamental process is.

If you have any comments or questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to give you a hand.

Wonderful video about finding a niche and building a website that is linked with affiliate products.

So in case I build a site from your site, and that niched is linked to other websites other than this site, how safe it will be that my links will stay forever without being removed?
Reply
AnitaLouise Premium
If the links are to another blog page they will be good as long as the page is still there. If the post or blog is deleted then the link will be a bad link. If the link is to an affiliate product it should stay while your account is active and the product is there, if the product is no longer available it would be a bad link.

Hey thanx for the video it is clear I only need some clarification on this questions that I have.
1: does it have to do with custom purchase cycle?
2: how to you become an affiliate for a company ?
3: will i need to have my own or the website page that I own when I go to google for me to purchase
Reply
EdwinBernard Premium
I will answer #2 and #3.

#2: Use Google to find the Afffiliate info for a company if it has one. Usually this is located at the very bottom of a companies website in small print using the words Affiliate Program. When you click this link you will get to the company Affiliate area where you can apply to become an Affiliate. If you are accepted, which usually is automatic, you will be given an affiliate link and access to the company banners and other affiliate tools.

#3: You can use Affiliate links in the free SiteRubix websites Wealthy Affiliate provides. And you can get these Indexed and ranked in the search engines.

Hope this helps.

hi, kyle,
I watched the video everything is very clear, I like very much how you explain things!
I just would like to understand when you do the google search it comes up a page full of links from your website and underneath for Amazon why should someone go to your site when he knows he could get the same thing on Amazon a site that he knows and trusts basically what do you offer more than Amazon
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
It has to do with the customer purchase cycle. That holds true IF the person already knows what they are looking for. For example, when I know what I want I go straight to Amazon all the time. However, there are also a lot of times that I am doing research before I buy. Reading reviews. Checking out how-to articles. Etc. This is where sites like we're creating come in. We are helping people learn and make better decisions. In return, once we've built trust with our audience, when we recommend a product or service they will often buy through our links. Make sense?
Reply
so when you look for a niche you have to look for a product that's not typical in order to be able to offer your services?
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
No. Your niche should be based on a topic, not necessarily a product. Think about a hobby or interest that you are extremely passionate about. Then write about that.

Teach other people and answer questions they may have. Don't think of it as building a "store"; think of it as more like you're publishing a magazine. Create content that people are searching for. Then, within that content, you will include an affiliate link.

For example, let's say your love photography, so you decide to build a site teaching beginners how to take great photos. There are literally unlimited products (cameras, lenses, lighting, etc.) and services (private lessons, tours, etc.) you could recommend. "Whenever I shoot a waterfall, I use the XYZ lens, and here's where you can get it" and then you put in your link. That sort of thing.

Hi Kyle,
I’ve the video about how to make money and I really loved it. The presentation was excellent and I think you’re a great teacher. But I still need some clarifications.
When you go google or any search engine and you type what you’re looking for, a page appears and you might have several links on that page. When you click on a link, you’ll be taken to a new page. Will that page be your website where you’ll also have your niches?

And within that niche, if someone clicks on any product, the person is taken to the Affiliate site like Nike or Amazon. Is that correct? Have I got a good understanding of the whole process?

Thanks

Yes, it sounds like you have grasped the concepts. From the SERPs (search engine results Pages) you will click to a website. You will write about your niche on that website. Pages on the site will discuss or review products related to your niche and have links to affiliate offers.
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
Yep, that's the basic process in a nutshell. The key is to create awesome content (articles, videos, reviews, etc.) that people interested in your niche are looking for.

As you rank higher and higher in Google more people will find what you have written. If you have what it is they are seeking you begin to build trust, and then when you make a product or service recommendation they are more likely to click on the link. If they make a purchase, you get a commission.

Actually writing great content is not always easy, of course -- if it were everyone would be doing it -- but the process itself is really quite simple.

This was a great video with a clear view of how the money earning process goes. My biggest fear is picking the wrong niche. I've had experience with this process before and I will give it thorough thought prior to choosing a niche this time. And ask questions. If a niche is already too popular, it's not the way to go, even if it's something I like. The niche doesn't have to be something I'm truly in love with. I believe it needs to be an item, issue or something where there is not already a lot of information about it on the internet.

Do I have the right idea?

Thank you, Kristen

Yes and no. Anything can be a good niche depending on how you spin it. And it is unlikely will find an "untapped" niche. Put some time and thought into this. If you choose something just because it might make money -- but you aren't excited about -- you will likely burn out long before you get enough content out there to be successful.

So, first, think about what hobbies or interests you have. What topics are you knowledgeable enough about that you could share with others? What subject have you always wanted to learn, but never had the time (this might just be the excuse you were looking for.)

When selecting a niche, I always recommend going with what you are most passionate about. One tip that has always helped me is to look at it this way:

Pick something that excites you. You are going to be creating a lot of content over time, with little reward in the beginning, so what topic (niche) would you talk about most, even if you weren't getting paid for it?

For instance, my niche is the topic of writing. I am constantly talking about it and helping others with their writing, have done so for years, and up till now never made a dime at it; I just enjoy it and love sharing that passion with others. In other words, I can't imagine NOT talking about writing. The only difference now is that I am sharing it in the form of a blog that I have monetized.

In fact, my litmus test is to think about something that you are so passionate about and talk about so much that sometimes friends and family have to tell you to just shut up... you identify THAT, and you will have found the perfect niche for you :-)

Regardless of what you choose, you can't just come at it head-on with another generic website or you will get crushed by the more established competition out there. Instead, think about how you can separate yourself from them. What makes you different? What can you bring to the table that is unique?

Hope this helped.

Thank you AJTrimble1! I actually gave some thought to different niches. In the past couple of years, I've actually become enlightened to what is truly happening in our world and the United States as far as political concerns.
I thought about using a politico niche. One that describes and defines political acronyms. Further, giving links to, what I feel, is true media. For example, The Epoch Times. I am not yet fluent in the subject. However, I would surely love to learn more about the subject and reveal truth to people.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration!

Are all affiliates free, or do some charge a subscription fee? How important is the niche concept rather than taking sort of a shotgun approach? I'm going to assume that you cannot simply do a google search on "weight loss pills" and provide an amazon link to every 4 star and above rated diet pill and make money...or could you - if you had the right content to pull in traffic?

second question: i realize (i think i to anyway) the most important aspect of this is to discover my niche, what if I get to the point in the training where i start to build a page and I haven't figured out what i want to sell? What if i get halfway through and change my mind? Should i be spending more time in digging in to what i want to sell, or is it valid to go out, see what affiliates/products are out there that pay the most and appear to have the most interest, and build for that?
Reply
Hackerist Premium
You don’t have to pay for being an affiliate of any company, they will pay you when their products are bought from your audience after being promoted through your blog. Keep in mind, however, that you must meet some requirements for some companies.
Yes, your niche is the most important before start building your blog, what are you going to write about? What is the topic you are most passionate about?
Finally, rather than thinking like a seller, think about how you can provide a solution to your audience. If you are serious about this, follow the training and even better get the stuff just the premium members get.

No, any "fees" required would be taken out on the back end. In other words, you sign up as an affiliate and then you basically get a set commission based on the affiliate agreement (which varies from company to company.)

I strongly recommend you discover your niche before you spend too much time building a site or creating content. What interests or hobbies do you have? What are you most passionate about? What "expertise" do you have that you can share? Etc.

I can see, NOW, how one can increase one's range of making money online. No matter what a person is interested in, if you have a link to that subject on your website, (it could be football or tiddlywinks) If that person buys from the link through your website, YOU get a commission! Man! Man! Man! I GOT IT! I GOT IT!

I have a question, it is that why our webpage should have a chance to be in the top of Google search, while a website like Amazon has always a better SEO performance, and Tech team. in my opinion, it is quite impossible to be the first top because these big websites always have Google Ads. and the other problem is that why a person should buy it via our website? while he can just go straight to i.e. Amazon.
the only chance we have is that we have bought those products ourselves and we have tested them so we can write a review about it, and then we can make a user click on our button.
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
Not at all. You are correct in that if someone already knows what they want they are likely to go directly to the source to buy, be that Amazon or another company. But MANY people do research about products and services long before they are ready to buy. If you write quality articles that help them, and you include a link, a lot of them will just click on your link to get them there before they buy. It all has to do with the customer purchase cycle, which you will learn about in the training.
Reply
jlclayton1 Premium
It can seem intimidating when you see the big sites that rank at the top of the SERPs. However, a lot of people don't want to just go to Amazon or another retailer to purchase something right off the bat.

Many, including myself, like to get more information from reviews and comparison articles so they get more useful information before making a purchase decision. A good example is when I was looking to buy a DVD player. I bought one thru Amazon, but I didn't go there first, I researched the best DVD players online first. The site I found reviewed different brands and gave recommendations, and I went to Amazon thru their link, so they got a commission from my purchase.

That's where you come in! Google likes to have relevant reviews and information on the first page, so don't think that you can't outrank Amazon or any other large retailer. The training here teaches you how to rank well using long-tail keywords. You're not looking to outrank big websites for competitive keywords like "best DVD players", you're looking to outrank them for keywords like "best DVD players under $100", just as an example.

As far as buying the products and testing them so you can write a review, that isn't necessary if you do really thorough research. The key is to become an authority in your niche, write honest, thorough reviews, and make good recommendations. Again, the training here at WA does a great job of showing you how to write good reviews and make your site an authority for your visitors.

Hope this helps!

That's a great question Amin. The problem is that this is just your way of seeing the internet. However, there are millions (maybe even billions by now) of people who don't think like that.

Some people want to get information from an expert. Others prefer to get the information from someone who is like them, who is in their shoes.

Then again other people, they want to hear a story, or just want to gossip around a product / service.

And then there are also plenty of people who think like you, and all they care about is the online shop and couldn't be bothered with reading what others have to say.

It is important that you believe in your business and what you do. If you don't feel that you are providing value to the world, then don't do it.

the fair answer, thank you man, I agree with that.

thank you, Janelle. you are right, I hope I can bring some good valuable content in my niche. at the end of the day, the one who could help people is the one who won.
Reply
thank you, AJ, I think because I always knew what I wanted in buying things, I came across that question, you are right, it makes sense, because, a lot of people for buying a thing they need someone to tell them that this is the right choice, they need to be pushed. and I think we just do that favor to them.

Agreed! Never forget the core purpose of the internet: To find & share information. Yes, eCommerce is exploding and more people than ever are buying online... but the internet will still stay an *information* platform first for a long time to come. So helping with valuable information is the foundation of an online business - which is what WA is all about :D

When I create a domain and by accident I I hit the create bottom after picking a theme. Theme is not my voice and a miss spelled word in the domain name. I am trying to fix it. Not sure how yet. Please forgive me I’m a little slow at learning. I have a learning disability. But I push my self to step out of my comfort zone.
Reply

Hi - you cannot change a domain name. If you are using one of the free sites, you can delete it and start again. If however, you have purchased your domain, there is nothing you can do, other than buy another one.
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
First things first, I find it inspiring that you have a learning "disability" and are still pushing forward. Well done.

Now, as far as your theme goes, don't sweat it. You can change it at any time. However, if I may make a suggestion, if you have no prior experience with WordPress, I suggest you use the same Heiro theme Kyle uses, at least until you finish the training. Yes, it's not exactly the best looking theme out there, but you csn always change it later. But, for now, this allows for instant feedback. If you finish a lesson, and your site doesn't look exactly like Kyle's, you immediately know you missed something and can go back and fix it. It dramatically speeds up the learning process.

As far as the domain, as Diane pointed out, unfortunately there is no going back. Domains are controlled by the government, so if it's not what you want or you made a typo, you pretty much just have to buy a new one. Fortunately they're not too expensive.

Hope this helps.

P.S. I put the word "disability" in quotes for a reason. I have a mild form of dyslexia myself. And I learned long ago that the term disability tends to limit us and fool us into thinking we can't do something; that it would be impossible. Instead, try using words like "challenge" or, even better, "opportunity"... I think you will find them far more motivating :-)

Hello everyone! While watching this video I had 2 questions. So do I make a separate website for each niche that i decide to work with?

And, if someone clicks on my link for a certain product (for example a pre-workout supplement) but also adds more items to their cart during their visit to the affilate website (for example protein and fat burners) does my commission come from the total amount the customer spent in that visit or only from the pre-workout supplement that was linked in my website?
Reply

Hi - yes, just one niche per website or you will confuse your visitors. I suggest you pick just one to start with, don't try and work on 2 at once, as the training is quite intensive.

Each affiliate program has its own terms and conditions as to what counts as a qualifying purchase. For example, Amazon does count all the products regardless of what they are.

Well you can join as many affiliate programs as you wish, though it is not wise to have them all in your post as it will make your posts too bulky and too busy. Choose affiliates related to your niche, go for one that really represents what you are writing about and offers a good commission.
It all depends on your niche and if you are doing any product reviews just don't be too ambitious.

This video was very good. It gave me a better understanding of sub niches and ranking them on Google. I believe the key is to look for keywords that a person will search for that is high ranking to find the item you are selling but not so high on competition. To get your site ranked first or within the first page. You talked about the percent made from the products but don't you have to subtract the pay per click to Google for each person who visits your site? And if they don't buy anything you still pay for that click? What is the conversion rate of clicks versus purchases?

Hi, there Katbelle,

I think that you will find that Kyle isn't a believer in PPC; As there is just as much opportunity having a website with quality content using one strong keyword and making sure that what you are writing relates to that particular keyword; And, add extra keywords that are unrelated to your topic. Using say, two or three different keywords and mixing up your topic content will not rank in Google.

Write your content just as if you were having a conversation with someone that you know; And, allow the content to flow from paragraph to paragraph. Because of this how Google ranks these days. It also looks to see if your content has given the reader a good outcome.

Searching for keywords: There is no other tool better than Jaaxy and as a premium member you have access to Jaaxy lite.

Start broad, then narrow down as you refine your keyword search.

Following the Jaaxy stats is reasonably straight forward; And, this is what Kyle suggests as an ideal keyword:
SVG 50+ that is Googles searches per month attached to your keyword
QSR Best result if it's over 50, but definitely under 100
SEO Anything over 90 is ideal and the closer to 100 the better.

And finally, the keyword needs to make grammatical sense.

All the best

Hi, there Katbelle69,

Thank you for your question.

SVG50+: The average number of searches that keyword receives per month; So don't settle for anything below 50. Anything over 50 is ideal and the higher the better provided it sits with your QSR and SEO.

QSR: Quoted Search Results; The number of competing websites ranked in Google for that exact same keyword. Anything from zero to 100 is OK, but nothing over at the competition is too strong.

SEO: Search Engine Optimization; A score based on traffic and competition. The higher the score the more likely you will rank for that keyword on the first page of Google. (Scale 1 - 100 the closer to the 100 the better.

Usually when I'm doing keyword research, which by the way is almost every day; I look for a search on the following basis: SVG 70 to 90 or plus. QSR The lowest possible but never more than 90; And, SEO, always in the low to mid-nineties, even better if it's available.

Always make sure that your keyword makes grammatical sense otherwise you won't rank.

Because you are new, I'm thinking that you haven't a clue what SEO means. But, don't worry as more into the training you get there is a full module on what it is, and how to set it up in the back office if WordPress.

Otherwise, and if you want to know now, then you can look up the previous webinars by entering in the search box "SEO" and that will bring up the previous training that relates to all the SEO.

One other final thing and I'm sure Kyle would have mentioned in the early bit of the training; When you buy a website or use the siterubix make sure that you get a (.com) site as they rank best.

Is there anything else that I can help you with?

I can say to you if you put your head down and do all the training, and not expect to make money in the first week or two, because that just won't happen, you'll be OK.

Success within the affiliate marketing platform rewards those who are persistent and with a never give up attitude.

One final thing, go about and set yourself some goals, but make them realistic and then work toward them and you'll be amazed by the result.

All the best

One question I have is how do you get around the personal accounts consumers have with companies like Amazon? Basically, why would someone purchase something on Amazon through an affiliate link rather than through their own Amazon prime account? Their is no advantage other than convenience but I’d assume most shoppers are discerning enough with their spending to make sure they take advantage of all discounts and rewards available to them instead of purchasing through a link simply for convenience. And once they identify the product your website has informed them of, they can just get it through their account.

Well you still get credit when they have accounts already, if they came through your link prior to joining, you will get credit for the sale.

People still do their due diligence and research before buying any product online, they also search for help to millions of problems and you can help them with these problems and make recommendations.

That is how affiliate marketing works, and a bulk of all transactions that take place online are the result of someone clicking on an affiliate link. :)
Reply
Katbelle69 Premium
I would also like to add that if they click your link but do not buy and instead go to their Amazon Account later and purchase you still get credit for the sale. In fact anything they purchase from Amazon within 24 hours goes to you. Amazon puts a cookie their account lasting 24 hours after your link click was used. That's pretty cool.

The most important aspects are the website, identifying the right niche product(s) and having a traffic of customers

For years this very strategy has eluded me but I am so grateful that finally, I have found Wealthy Affiliate and I'm gaining knowledge that can be put to use immediately with actual outcomes.

My dilemma is that I have approximately less than a year to generate income for my financial goals to be met. 2020 is the year for being debt free and making an important trip abroad - the total budget for the trip is about 10K (that's for the whole family).

Is my financial goal realistic in terms of achieving an income of 10K per month? At least if I can generate income for the trip to be realised, the debts can be sorted out later in the year. The trip is crucial.

Really enjoyed watching The Process Explained video! Can I just ask (or maybe this is explained further down the line....) - would there be anything you could do to minimise potential customers from going from your website directly to the affiliate product / service page and searching for it there instead? From my own experience as a customer, I somehow prefer to read an article, check what is recommended, then go to the exact website and search there, rather than clicking various links.......... Or maybe it is just me!

It depends on customer behavior. Some might click the link and some might directly head to the seller website. Though you can't do much but I've seen many blogs which say that buying from their link will give them some sort of discount. Personally, I found it unethical if you don't really have a discount code.

If a customer clicks through your link and buys the product later (even by directly going to the seller website) you will still be paid depending on the cookie period of the seller. For example- Amazon offers 24 hours cookie if the customer purchases anything from Amazon within 24 hours of clicking your link. You will be paid the commission.

Hope it helps.

Most niches are evergreen, but there are certainly some that are more seasonal than others. Niches like Halloween Costumes tend to thrive closer to Halloween, but in saying that it doesn't mean this is not a year round niche as people are looking for costumes for different events year round.

Even winter clothes, when it is summer on one part of the world (western hemisphere), you should realize that the other side of the winter is experiencing their winter months. Since this is a global business, it is very rare to find a niche that cannot product with year round consistency.

I really appreciated this video as, being a visual person, I prefer to "SEE" instructions rather than hear or read them (they sink in better). I understand the "how it works" but do feel a little daunted by the act of finding a niche.... there is just so much out there that I get lost. However, based on the first part of this training, I am certain that helpful niche-finding instruction will follow later.
Really impressed with everything so far and enjoying the training. Very well put together. Thank you all.

The biggest key to picking a niche is to choose something you are passionate about. Hobbies, interests, things you're really knowledgeable about, etc. If you are focusing only on the keywords, you risk choosing a niche just because it's popular, whether or not you have any interest or passion in it. Pick something that you are excited about. Remember, you will be creating a lot of content for your site. If it's something you aren't excited about, you will likely burn out before you get enough out there to be successful. Just take your time and have fun with it :-)

Doesn't seem complicated although the only part that i m unsure of is creating content for website but you will help right?
One other thing, how doesva wealthy affiliate marketer know that someone bought through their website is there any notification sent. Who sends it WA or the company whose product's just been bought?
Reply
DianeScorpio Premium
Hi - you will have to apply individually to each affiliate program you wish to join. When they give you links to the products you wish to promote, they will have your website ID embedded into them. This way, they can track that the customer came through your site.

As regards content, it is just something you will have to get used to, as you will be writing a lot of it. It does get easier over time. Make sure you choose a niche you are passionate about, so you don't get bored writing about it.

Really good advice from DianeScorpio. I would just add that I too wasn't thrilled about creating content. I worked really hard on it the first year of my online business. Then I found some writers and I found out that I enjoy being the editor. So I reinvest my profits to hiring writers and it's a great way to steam line your business to create more content and ultimately more traffic.

One article that helped me when I first started was by another successful marketer from WA. You may want to check out this quick training. Also, you should check out some of Jerry's training's https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/jerryhuang - including one about hiring a writer. All in all, I believe you need to try your creative hand and write content to establish the direction of your site and how you want to style your posts. Also, you can and maybe should use WA's content writing platform to help understand the heading structure.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/content

Once you learn to connect with your audience and know how to rank content so they can find and read it, you can make a ton of online sales. After that, you can switch to hiring writers and expanding by investing your profits back into your site, but you've got to learn the basics.

The key right now should be to find your niche, find and buy an awesome domain name (if you can't buy one, you can earn credits in the credit platform) https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/credits and then from there, just take classes and build your site, focusing primarily on the content.

That's my 2 cents,
Todd

RE: My understand'g of mak'g. $$$ online

I first thought all I needed to do was drive traffic to my affiliate website.
which is a online website store, with my code & name at the end of their .com address.

But am I to understand, that WA will help me devise/create a NEW website, that links to the affiliate website, that hold the products with their prices, & I get a commission on whatever is sold ?

EdwinBernard Premium
There is a difference between a store front and an affiliate site. Amazon is an example of the former. Your website is designed to get high traffic of individuals who are looking for the products you are promoting. Your Blogs will provide more education on the products that will encurage the visitors to click your affiliate links and make a purchase.

You are right that traffic alone wont guarantee sales. It is your content that drives sales.

I hope this helps.

Cheers!

This video was very understandable for a beginner thank you. As a beginner there are so many different niches that can be covered in so many ways, so how can I select a niche that is unique to a particular audience without duplicating or touching on areas others are already working on? Do I need to create a case study as well? What are the best ways to narrow down to my particular niche?
Reply
Kyle Premium
That is going to be covered in detail as you move into the next lesson Elizabeth. There are many ways that you can go about choosing a niche, and the most natural is the choose something that you are interested in , or interested in learning about. Lesson 3 covers this in detail.

And no, you will not need to create your own case study. That is by no means a requirement.

Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
Of course. You can offer anything you like. The only thing I would caution you about would be to make sure you at least have a plan for how you might scale up if needed. You don't want to put yourself in a position where a "homemade" product hits big and you get overwhelmed with orders.
Reply

You sure can, but you have to take into consideration that you will be responsible for inventory, packaging, shipping, getting paid, etc.

Hey Paw great advice so far from other members! They are correct. The awesome thing about being an affiliate is you don't have to worry about anything other than driving traffic to an offer. The company you're an affiliate for handles all the processing, shipping, inventory, and all the business side of things.

If you decide to sell your own products you're in charge of that, which can be a pain. My advice is to always start with affiliate products, that way your sole focus is on your website and driving traffic to your website.

Once you have that going well you can think about adding your own products. If applicable I'd start with digital products, something you create once and then sell the same thing over and over (way less work than physical products)

But if digital products won't work in your niche, down the line selling your own physical products may be a great idea.

Hope this helps and welcome to Wealthy Affiliate.

Any topic can be a good niche depending on how you "spin" it. Just make sure you choose something that you are passionate about. You will be creating a lot of content, so it's important you choose something that will not be a drag to write about every day. Here is a link from my friend that may help you narrow things down a bit:

Your affiliate website should be about a niche "topic" you actually have passion or interest about.

You’re most likely to enjoy building an affiliate site in a niche you already enjoy, which makes your hobbies a good place to start.

For example, I love MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) so I might consider building an affiliate blog promoting MMA gear from Amazon like MMA gloves, shorts...

The great thing about using a hobby for your niche is your existing familiarity with the topic.

This means you’ll spend less time doing research, which makes the writing process less stressful. Trust me, if you pick a niche that you don’t enjoy on some level, the work will be a chore.

I learned that lesson when I tried to write dozens of articles about shoes. Never again.

Here are a few simple steps to get you started choosing your niche:

Make a list of your hobbies.

Think long and hard to answer this question: Which would you most enjoy writing about?

Next up, look for affiliate programs for your chosen hobbies. Which has the most earning potential?

Once you have a final list of hobbies with potential affiliate programs, do market research to see whether there is enough interest to warrant the effort.

Any niche you choose should have a decent built-in audience.
One good way to find out if there is a potential audience is by seeking out other big sites in your niche. If there’s competition, the topic is probably worth your time.

If you don't know how to find affiliate programs related to your niche or how to research the competition don't worry! Just follow the training here and you'll be good.

It's ok to get a bit confused at first because all of this is new to you! (we've all been there!) but after a few months, this will be second nature and most importantly this is worth the hard work because it will pay off big time!

Here are some good resources I found here at WA that will give you a better idea on how to choose a niche, please do spend some time to find the right niche because it's the most important thing to build a successful site! Cheers!

First things first... just know that any niche can be a good niche. It really comes down to two things. One, what your "angle" is. I would imagine that is a pretty competitive niche, so you likely can't come at it head-on with just another generic site. Think about what separates you from the competition.

Which brings up the second thing: your competition. Come up with a rough idea of keywords and topics you would write about. Then Google them and see what's already out there. The key to remember is that we get nothing handed to us. We have to deserve to be there. So look over the top 10 results for each keyword, and make some notes on what you might have to do to take their spot. For example, if their posts are 500 words, you write 1000. If theirs is 1000, you write 1500. If they have only text, you add images. If they have images, you add a video. And so on.

Hope this makes sense.

Good luck, and keep us posted. If you have any more questions just give us a shout. :-)

Wigs : ), but honestly I've decided to promote Wealthy Affiliate. After, further research I found out that there has been women that have made human hair purchases from Facebook but received hair from animals, silicon. So the blog will be any and all new footage and real accounts from others this has happened to, pros/cons, and links to purchase authentic hair conveniently located on my site. Well, I know it is still rough around the edges. It is competitive but some of these companies I have purchased as well only to receive a low quality product.

No worries. And welcome to WA. Just work your way through the training program. Everything you need is there step-by-step. Now, here's probably my biggest tip for someone just getting started...

At the end of each lesson you will see a checklist with "action steps" for you to take. Don't make the mistake of breezing past these. Make sure that you actually complete and check off each item before moving on to the next lesson.

This is extremely important because later lessons all build on what you have done before, and if you miss something you may run into a wall. Just go through each lesson as many times as you need to understand it in full, and then do the required work associated with it, and you will be up and running in no time :-)

Could this be a 'dual niche' ?

Hi James,
I see you got good answers already. What you mention are not connected, so you should choose the niche you like the most. However, your niche could be something like kids “personal development” where one of the topics could be martial arts focused on kids (exercise is part of that niche).
Credit cards and saving tips, for instance, are in the same niche, both are under Finance. In your case, your passion for helping kids and martial arts could be under kids ”personal development”. You could become a good trainer (not only in martial arts) or mentor for them through your blog.

Joined the WA community today. Totally a rookie to the online marketing and affiliate earning business.

My first thought/doubt/question - not on the technicality of how to create your website but more on the methods to find or discover your Niche. Are there some handy articles/videos that can trigger the dormant brain cells into identifying a niche which might just be in front of me but I cant put a name on it as yet. Would love to hear some of the ways people go about identifying their Niche.
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
When selecting a niche, I always recommend going with what you are most passionate about. So, think about any hobbies, interests, or even expertise that you may have. Or, perhaps, maybe even a topic that you have always wanted to learn, but never had the time (this might just be the "excuse" you were looking for to get around to it.)

Put some time and thought into this. If you choose something you aren't excited about, you will likely burn out long before you get enough content out there to be successful.

Hope this helped.

There are a few ways to get product imagery:

1) Obtain the product and take your own shots
2) Use an image affiliate link (like the Amazon image link)
3) Visit the manufacturer's website and see if they have a media kit with imagery to use
4) Ask permission from the manufacturer to use their imagery from their site

Scott has provided you sound advice. Often times affiliate programs will provide you with product images, and often times if you are promoting a product, they don't mind you using their images. Alternatively you can take your own photos, leverage many of the CC0 websites (free images) or use SiteContent images (over 1+ million there).

a good overview of how the affiliate process works - and yes, there are affiliate opportunities everywhere. Something I picked up previously is that if you have identified a great product or service and there isn't an affiliate program - then just ask the company if they would set one up. It's in there interests after all - they can only expect to see more sales.

There definitely are opportunities out there. Once you understand the research element (which you will be getting into very soon), you are going to realize that there are too many opportunities out there, and not enough time to take advantage of them all. A great position to be in as a marketer.

Since I've started to get into affiliate marketing my biggest problem has been choosing a niche my question I have is can you kinda guide me towards choosing niches that are good income making niches. I really don't have a particular area niche that I want to do doesn't really matter as long as it's a good income niches. I'd appreciate your advice. Thanks

Hi - that's not really the way to look at it. Remember, you will be writing a lot of content, so it should really be something you are interested in, otherwise, you will soon get bored. Plus, your readers will soon realise if you are writing about something that you have no knowledge of. Every niche is capable of generating an income.

You should not be looking for a "hot" niche. You will be creating a TON of content to get your business off the ground, and if it is not something you are passionate about you will likely burn out long before you get there. Think about your hobbies or what interests you have. Choose a niche that you will be happy talking about for months, or even years, even if you weren't getting paid... because chances are you will. regardless of what niche you go into, you may be writing to a "ghost town" for a long time, so it's important that you pick something that will sustain your motivation during that time.

Is it still profitable to work towards this even if you don't become the main website that people visit? What if, for example, you did a snack helmet website and there are already a few major website affiliates for the product, will you still make money with another one? Or to put it another way, does your product/niche need to be rare or unique?
Reply
EdwinBernard Premium
That is exactly how Affiliate Marketing works. We become affiliates of companies who have an affiliate program who provides us with unique links that track back to us. When you promote their products using these links. and if a purchase is made using your link, you will get paid through your account you will have set up when you became an affiliate.

This is all taught in the training. So don't get ahead of yourself. Be patient and learn this the correct way via the training.

Cheers!

Think about it this way: You have the biggest marketplace in the world (Internet). Is there enough people ( 4,3 BILLION) for more than 1 business in each niche?

The answer is yes :)

No, it does not. There are millions of websites out there, and probably hundreds of them have the same niche that you do, or that you are thinking of. Not to worry. WA gives you a leg up on every one of them. Our training and community support is what makes the difference. You come up with the quality content and WA will teach you how to drive traffic to your website and leave all the competition in the dust. Just make sure that whatever niche you choose, you are passionate enough about it to create lots of quality content. To paraphrase: "If you build it out, they will come."

The video was well explained but I have have a few questions that need your acknowledgement. Firstly I understand that by being online we basically become global in terms of business and other intenties. I would like to localise this business within my country because looking at my counties status, there are few that would buy buy products from eBay, Amazon and these other big companies. So how do I first af all deal with the local companies and customers without denying myself to market globally.
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
You can still keep your site "global" if you like.

In general, the only difference between a global site and a local site is a matter of focus. For example, in addition to more universal posts, you could also write posts that have a local slant by including the name of your country or city in the title -- "Ten things to do in Canada", "The best places to shop for clothes in London" -- that sort of thing.

This is often a indicator to your readers what the content is about and if it is relevant to them. Global visitors won't likely likely bother reading it unless they are planning a trip, but your local customers will most certainly be drawn to it.

The same applies to the other side of the business equation: sourcing. You could work out an agreement with local companies to sell their products on your website. The trick is to determine the best way to make the money exchange. For instance, if PayPal is available in your country and people are open to using it, you're good. If there is some other medium of exchange in use, you will need to figure out a way to make it work. What are those local vendors using (cash, credit cards, etc.)?

Using our example from above, you can even tailor your offer and method of payment to that one post since it is focused exclusively on your local customers; again, the global visitor is not likely reading it anyway, but if they are and the product is sold in "XYZ" currency -- and they don't have that -- then that's another signal that this particular post/offer isn't for them.

I truly believe there is no challenge in business that is too big to solve. Sometimes it just takes a bit of brainstorming to come up with a reasonable solution, but I know you will figure out a way to do it.

Hope this helps :-)

Hi Kyle My goal is my relationship with GOD not putting money before HIM. It's pure Religion that is helping people. This program is becoming challenging with choosing a niche apart from GOD. And not allowing money and some of the content to be offensive as I go through the training and be able to continue on. HELP! Thank you for understanding.

You can help people with anything, it doesn't have to be their relationship with religion. If someone is looking to build a website, you can help them do that and build a business doing so. If someone has constant foot pain, well there are solutions to that and lots of things you can discuss and help people with in respect to that.

A niche can be anything, but ultimately you get to choose.

It allows members to get answers to questions in many ways with the end result leading the person needing the info to get the desired result. And sometimes, it can lead to other ways to answer the same question. They say there is more than one way to skin a cat.'😊 WA encourages interaction, and that makes it worth being a member. Hi Kyle,

Thank you for explaining how money is made with the affiliate process.

If a customer does a search for a product and via an affiliate link is transported to the retailer's website but instead of purchasing the product which brought them to the retailer's website, the customer get distracted and buy something else instead, will the affiliate still be compensated? So if instead of buying the snack helmet on Amazon, they buy a bottle. Will Amazon still reward the affiliate seeing as it was the affiliate who brought that customer into the Amazon platform?

Grateful for your feedback.

Kind regards

Yes, Amazon does, if the customer purchases something within 24 hours. Other affiliate programs each have their own terms and conditions, so you would need to check the details of any that you are interested in joining.

Thanks Kyle. My concern is the google ranking. I can spend all the time in the world building an awesome, informative site but the chances are it will end up on the 2nd or 3rd page which no one goes to. Does it cost to appear or rank on google's 1st page or does the SEO on the page have to be dialed in?

go through the course and you are shown how to rank in google.
it does work, well for me at least, organically on page one for loads of keywords.
the other main thing is that people are searching for those keywords.
but yes you can learn how to setup bing ads and ppc campaigns.

It doesn't cost to appear on Google's first page - and when you think about it from a search engines point of view you'll see that it's actually quite a lot easier than you think.

Basically search engines like Google, Yahoo & Bing all have the same goal. They all want to provide the content the answers the users query best, first.

So if somebody is searching "what are the best tennis shoes" and your post answers that question in a way that the search engines deems good, it'll move your post up towards the top.

This won't happen instantly though - as most websites that launch end up closing within the first couple of months, so for the first couple of months search engines basically "trial you"... Are you going to stick around with your site & keep producing? If you are, then you'll be rewarded with good rankings... But they don't want to rank you well in those first couple of months in case that just like the others, you merely disappear. Hope that makes sense :)
Reply
Kyle Premium
That is what you are going to be learning as you move through the training, how to outrank others on the first page and you are going to become very good at this as time goes on...and as your website gains authority you will instantly acquire more and more first page rankings.

This is just one of the many ways of getting traffic to your website, and we are going to be covering this in detail as you move through the training. You will be a Google expert before you know it.

I understand the process and Google search then you the results,
Next you come information your looking for a product.

This can be done with almost any product the world is your oyster as such.

Each seller pays commission on each product bought simply and easy system,

I am interested in learning the process of setting up a website with links to such Amazon or another website,

What is the cost involved in setting up websites and implementing links for purchases from them.

It's understanding the background processes like backlinks and codes, also SEO on your website with best results for optimization, Google bots etc

I have made my own websites before with weebly and didn't sell on there but I was doing research and posting my findings on my website, I was getting over 100 hits a day without really pushing seo keywords.

Hey there Ryan. Glad to hear you're enjoying yourself so far.

So the first thing to understand. Making money with a website takes time. Even the age of your domain name is a factor to ranking well, receiving traffic, and making money.

I say that because time passing in the online business world is really a good thing for your site. Even if you can't devote as much time as you'd like at this point.

If you can devote one hour a day to learning and applying it (going through the training) you can 100% make money with a website, but it will take more time than someone that has several hours a day to devote to this.

The awesome thing is making money with a website is pretty passive. Meaning the work you do today, pays off a month or even years down the line.

If you're serious about making a real income online WA is the best place to be to learn how. If you learn and apply you will see results. It may take more time to see your first traffic and first $1 but if you keep at it it's 100% possible for you to achieve success with your website on just 1 hour a day.

Let me know if you have any other questions or need anything else.

when doing your site and finding the product , Can you have more than one affiliate link connected to that product? Or is it wise to only have one link associated? I ask the question because if I go to Amazon sometimes they maybe out of the product but also have other places where the product could be purchased and they also have an affiliate link for the item?
Reply
KBurris1 Premium
In my opinion, I think it would depend on the post. More than likely it would be best to use one affiliate link for the same item within the post. But if your review mentions various places to purchase, then sure link each one. Otherwise if there are multiple links that take costumers to different sites from the same review, it may create confusion.

Please excuse the “newbie” question but it is my understanding that in order to be placed first in line on a Google search that extensive dollar outlays are required. Any time one does a Google search it shows the often times millions of sites available to click on in relation to your query.
Reply
DianeScorpio Premium
Hi - the first 2 or 3 results are usually ads paid for by big companies, but all the rest are there simply by having the valuable content that people are searching for. This is achievable by anybody having a website. Within the training here, not only will you be taught how to build a professional website, but also how to add articles that contain the answers that people need.
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
Not true at all. Plenty of people have scored the top result and never paid a dime. Google ranks based on quality, plain and simple. Ranking is based on you providing the best result for that particular search topic or keyword. Thus, the real question is does the content you put out "deserve" to be in first place? If so, then you will get there in time. If not, no amount of money will help.

Basically you find a product or passion you want to sell then you find a dropshipper or company that has product build a website listing the product when customer makes a buy they send order to you. then you send order from supplier dropshiper to customer you keep the difference in the price of the item.
Reply

Yeah, you don't need a drop shipper. It is potentially one way you could monetize your website but there are much more efficient ways of doing this (ie affiliate marketing). That is what you are going to be learning in detail as you move through the training.

I might have missed it (I’m trying to catch what I can with my limited free time lately), but I was wondering about the rules of affiliate links online. I thought bloggers or websites are required to say their links are affiliate links or make a statement about that on their page or their website, or does that only apply to blogs? Just wondering about the legal side of things.

I also heard amazon affiliate links can’t be used in e-mails and if you send out a ton of e-mails to people; it violates a law something like the can spammers act? I forget the exact title of each.

In addition, I heard you have to have a P.O. Box address to put on any e-mails or your website to make you e-mails legal as well and maybe your website?

Lastly, I was confused about setting up where people would e-mail a website/where all those e-mails are stored, setting up an official non-gmail or yahoo account, and the e-mail service provider which sends your newsletters if they give you an inbox where people can e-mail to or how that works. I don’t know if wealthy affiliate talks about that or if this is just a website discussing affiliate links only so that might be off-topic, not sure....

I just don’t want to get into any kind of trouble which is why I’ve stayed away from posting my blog with affiliate links in the past. I would like to maybe in the future. I also wonder if there is anything I need to worry about for taxes or if it is extra complicated if I started an affiliate blog or site someday in addition to what I’m already trying to sell.

Thanks in advance for any help with these questions! Also, thank you for making a site like this!

Every affiliate program is different depending on the company providing it. In general, however, all of that is taken care of on their end. You are simply promoting the product/service and redirecting the potential buyer to their site for the purchase. Just make sure you read the affiliate agreement to be sure.

So I am claiming it to be Wealth Affiliate. I'vehad emails saying that I could make money easy online. I always felt them to be scams.. but this is far from being different then the rest. I see this as a blessing. So this is why I believe this is perfect and just what I have been looking for...

Am really enjoying these important lessons, I have a question though
1. What are the requirements to be affiliated with a company such as Amazon or
any other, I know it may differ but is there a standard requirement?

2. Can I be given help in choosing a great niche or am to strictly do that myself
because I'd really like to be helped in that area

Hi - there are literally thousands of affiliate programmes, so it is difficult to answer your question, as they all have different requirements. Be aware that Amazon expects you to have 3 sales within the first 180 days, or they will remove you. Therefore, it is best to wait until you have enough visitors to your site, to ensure that you make those sales. Other programmes sometimes expect your website to be well-established with plenty of informative articles before you are accepted.

It's best if you choose your own niche because it has to be a subject that you are really interested in. Remember, you will be expected to write lots of articles, so find something that you can happily talk about, and that has relevant products that you can promote.

The best time to start joining the affiliate programs you're going to be looking into is when you get to that point in the training. Don't ever put off things that you're tasked to do because you think you're not ready. The training here is meant for absolute newbies, so when Kyle tells you to jump out and apply with Amazon, do it! There's no harm or foul if after 6 months you haven't made a sale with their program. You can simply re-apply.

Amazon is usually the first program that people will apply to since they don't require any minimum traffic requirements. As you progress through the training building out your site and your content, your traffic numbers will grow. Be patient. So many people think that with their first article they're going to have loads of traffic. It's just a matter of putting your head down and trusting this training. It's all set up for your success. Continue progressing and learning and the traffic will come down the line.

Again, don't hesitate to apply for Amazon when you get to that point in the training. Complete the tasks your given and never tell yourself you're not ready :)

I am really excited and eager to see where all this will lead me to. As I mentioned in my profile, I am not new to this as I once joined as a premium member of WA, but sadly my membership never go anywhere. I know I just set myself up for failure, but I am now coming back and am looking forward to reaping the fruits of my passion. I know I will have so many questions to ask once I absorb what needs to be learned throughout this journey so I will now stay put and absorb as much as I could. Thanks to all of you. Thanks Kyle and Carson and your families.

Well lets give this time around a full effort and truly work to create and grow a business online. It is just a matter of time and effort, EVERYTHING else to accomplish this is included here within the training. Let's make 2019 your most successful one yet James.

And of course if you need anything at all moving forward, let me know. ;)

In lesson 2 the info was very simplistic and for me that is great. My niche is the hard thing to think about tattooing and tattoo supplies are like the back of my hand I know them very well and I believe that I can use that as my niche for art industry
Reply
mcb247 Premium
Hey Connis, great to meet you here. I think that tattooing could be a great niche, this could bring local business to yourself, and the supplies could be world wide.

My only concern would be what other products could you sell to a mass market to scale your business. If its your passion this will work in your favour too.

I wish you every success
Reply
ConnisB Premium
So what do you think cause besides tattooing supplies there will be other products that haas anything to do with artists artwork and also was thinking of doing instructional videos on the process of tattooing
Reply
mcb247 Premium
All of these are great ways to add to your income, but these are all aimed at other tattoo artists and that niche could be too small. Need to come up with something that you could sell to the people having the tattoo and this would be a much larger market.

Could you design and then copyright your designs and then charge a fee for people to use it ?
Reply
Kyle Premium
That can absolutely be a direction you head, there is a huge audience within the tattoo space (as you are aware of) and there are all sorts of ways you can monetize this niche and establish your brand as you build it out.

Tattoo supplies certainly could be the direction that you head, helping fellow tattoo artists!

In lesson 2 I see that I can affiliate with many companies. I see that one core component to any business is a website. Google is a component or website. Am I right? And a niche is the type of programs that I will be going to,to promote to generate revenues. So, what I understand from this is,I affiliate with companies, then bring them to, is it my website or it to like or Amazon or what ever websites? And about the niche, what are the programs that I will be promoting to? Are the programs like Google and Amazon and others?
Reply
mcb247 Premium
Your website is like your home on the internet everything you do should be sending people to your website... Google is like an advertising platform for your website you are trying to rank in Google for certain keywords which will then drive traffic to your site.

Your niche is what you are writing about on your website.

I trust this helps

hi Kyle, thanks for the video. I am already blogging but finding it real difficult to ''define'' my niche. It is more or less a lifestyle blog focusing on self empowerment and personal development (or so i think). What do one do in this instance? The confusion of a well defined niche? Also are there good affiliates for such a website? Thanks!
Reply
Kyle Premium
I would try to avoid a lifestyle blog. The reason being this is more about you, and less about your audience. To be successful online, ideally you want to become an authority in a specific niche. It is the experts within the online world that typically reap all of the rewards.

There are affiliate programs for everyone, so never worry about that. There are over 550 MILLION products/services that you can promote as an affiliate alone!

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

I am a complete novice in this. just to be clear: you set up a website, draw people who are searching online to it, your site diverts them to where to get the product they are interested in?
If they purchase a product through your site, you get paid- Correct?

Exactly. While it does require hard work to create good quality content to attract the people searching in the first place, the overall concept is really quite simple. You've summed it up perfectly. :-)

I hadn't realized how large a market there is for snack helmets. I will be interested in seeing what other niche's there are. Football isn't my thing so I would really like to find my own niche. I hope that there is one or more that I would like to promote that could be as large a market as the snack helmet.

Well 100's of millions of people watch football every week during the season, most of these people have social get togethers that involve football. They like their teams, they like snacks.

This is actually a "mini niche" compared to many others, the opportunity is just so vast within the online world that you can literally head in any direction that you want and there will be a great deal of opportunity!

I still get giddy when I think of all the opportunity out there!

Hi Kyle, nice introduction to the process. Thank you. Crystal clear vision that is. As I see it, the secret is in the "sending traffic to your website" part
through high rankings within the various search engines. Making website with nice quality content, yes, high rankings however is the key to succes, specially in the early days. We get some sort of introduction about this whole keywords/ranking game? Once traffic generated, quality content will do the rest. Thanks Dav.

The steps .

You will get there as you go through the training, the first focus with your website is to build out the foundation, the content and get rankings. Once you have rankings and traffic then you can focus on what you are going to promote.

There are 10,000's of affiliate programs and millions of products you are going to be able to promote as an affiliate, don't ever worry about there being nothing to promote within a given niche. There will likely be 100's if not 1,000's of things you can promote. ;)

There is no sense in putting to much thought into what you are going to promote until you have content in place and an audience to promote to. You will definitely get there though!

This was great information, alhough I have a couple of techincal questions and would really appreciate anyone answering:
1- How does the e-marketing website such as Amazon ( for example ) make sure that a purchased some of their product thanks to my website promoting them?
2- How does Google's system of ranking websites work? What factors do they consider?

Disclaimer: I don't know yet if these questions are answered in next tutorials.

When you are using affiliate links to promote products (for example Amazon products) each link carries a unique affiliate ID which will grant you the credits.

The google ranking system is based on a very complex algorithm which contains more than 200 different factors. Some of them are more important then others ... Just follow the training Daniel and your questions will be answered ...

Yes, both are answered in the training program in detail, but here are the basics in a nutshell:

1) They use a piece of code called a "cookie" that attaches itself to the person's computer with your unique affiliate number so anything purchased get's credited to you. Just be aware that depending on the particular company the timeframe varies. For instance, I believe Amazon's cookie only lasts for 24 hours, whereas others may last 30 days or even a few that use "lifetime" links. You have to read each company's affiliate agreement to see what they use.

2) To be perfectly honest... no one knows. lol. Seriously, though, Google's algorithms are proprietary and kept secret, but based on experience we can tell basically what they are giving weight to.

Knowing that Google wants to match the most relevant and useful information and websites with its users, you know that good content is the primary factor.

Without going into a massive SEO lecture, just suffice it to say that Kyle and the gang here at WA have had over a decade to figure it out, so if you follow the training and complete each task you will be in a great position.

Hope this helps. If you have any more questions or need anything don't hesitate to ask; we're all here to help. :-)

When you join an affiliate program you will receive a unique code that represents you. This code is part of the affiliate links you use to promote the products on your site. As someone follows them a cookie is placed that let's Amazon, for example, know that your brought this shopper to them. You will then get credit for what they purchased.

A couple of things to note:
1) The cookie is good for 24 hours at Amazon
2) If the person goes to another site and follows their link to Amazon, they get the credit (it's basically last cookie wins).
3) If the person follows your link to a product on Amazon but they buy something else instead...you still get the credit!

A lot of things factor into Google's ranking system. Site age, word count, content quality, internal links, external links and so on. Check out Jay's ranking video...it's pretty good:

Wow, nice and clear. At first (literally 45 minutes ago) the thought of making money from these affiliate links was the only intriguing prospect of being a part of this. Now I'm ALSO (may be even more) super excited about the 'actual process' of building these websites and attracting visitors/traffic!

Yeah, that is the thing. Affiliate marketing and leveraging affiliate programs is a very exciting space and you can promote over 550 MILLION products/services this way, but you are also going to be able to sell anything you want from your website and there are many ways in which you can monetize it.

You are going to be building out a REAL business. :)

Thank you for your replies, thats also very encouraging. Even though Im sure yourself and Carson have a lot to do you still take the time.

I'm now looking forward to upgrading to premium as soon as I possibly can

That's my "story" as well. What brought me here was the idea that I could make money through affiliate marketing. But after I started I realized that it was the process itself -- building websites and creating content -- that was my true passion. It completely changed the way I do business. Now the money is almost secondary; it's just not my focus anymore. I treat it as almost a nice side benefit, because I enjoy the process so much I would still do all of this even if I weren't getting paid.

Welcome to WA. If you have any questions or need anything, please don't hesitate to ask. We're all here to help.

Yes, it's definitely exciting. One small warning, however (okay, more of a tip really).

There will come a point, sooner or later, where you are putting in a ton of work and getting very little, if any, reward for it. For instance, one of my mentors just posted a comment where he stated that he put out content every single day for six months and only had a whopping $8 in sales to show for it.

It's at a point like that where you may be exhausted and begin to think it's just not worth it. And it's precisely at that point where you shouldn't.

Stay the course and keep going. I recently listened to a podcast where a blogger stated that she worked on her site creating content seven days a week for an entire year and had made less than $2000 by the end of year one. BUT... By the end of year two she had made close to $70,000, and by the end of year three she was at $300,000 plus!

The point is not that that will happen to us (we don't really know, do we?). The point is that had she given up at that proverbial $8 point, she would never have reached the hundreds of thousands.

If (when, rather) you get to that point, I want you to promise you will reach out to me and the rest of the community. We have all been there and we can help guide you through your "dark night of the soul" moment. YOU CAN DO THIS! :-)

Take care, and keep us posted of your progress.

I think I had a pretty good idea of how this process worked as I have tried several things in the past but never managed to succeed. I think that the major problem I had was trying all the wrong things and lack of support, also that I was sure I was just wasting more money on some other PROGRAM.
I AM SO CONFIDENT IN WA that I have gone premium in about 3 day's of starting here, and I signed up for one full YEAR.

Work through the training. All this is covered as you build your website. It is a wonderful journey, please take a moment to sit back and start working on the Online Entrepreneur Certification and when you finish that, the Bootcamp.

Please believe me, it is worth every moment of your time. The important thing is do not rush. Read, learn and act. Rinse and repear.
