As you can see, there's a lot of on-site elements you can do to your website and web pages to help your SEO. Just-in-case you didn't know, helping you SEO will greatly increase your chance for higher search ranking.

I found some last minutes item that I put on the list. It's a list of elements that I can perform while developing websites. These elements will ensure I receive a fair opportunity at getting ranked higher in the major search engines


Lesson Exercise

I created an exercise for this lesson. I started a list of SEO Best Practices that will assist in higher search engine positions. Using the group discussion, tell me one element you would add on the list.

Keep the Discussion Going Add to the SEO Best Practices List

  • Make sure all images have a alt attributes, the search engines love it.
  • Title tag will show up in search engines results and web browser tab
    • Keep titles between 50 and 60 characters in length
  • Use <em> and <strong> instead of <i> and <b>. Search engines want to see strong statements

On The Job Training - Keep On Learning

Learning Web designing, SEO, creating tutorials, or anything you may decide to learn is ongoing. Have you ever heard of the saying, "It get easier the more your do it"? Well, it's true. I will be adding to this tutorial, keeping it fresh and updated. Informing you of what's working, and what's not doing so great.

Hi, Michael, I've been playing around with coding off and on for some time now. It's not as hard as I thought it would be. It's got is hard moments at times, it's truly is one of the easy languages to learn.

Thanks for the lessons. I like wordpress because you don't have to use html,css and javascript. I have learnt a few html things for using in widgets, but otherwise i just use the normal post editor and don't touch html. Only when i have problems, which are very few, do i touch html code.
I like it that way.

Gregory, thank you, for reading the tutorial. I also like to use Wordpress, but every once in a while you will run into someone who wants a picture in a special spot.

Coding is great to learn about. It will allow you complete control of your outlook.
