Using Google Search Console to Check Indexed Pages and Posts
Another method of checking and verifying what Google is indexing is to use the Google Search Console.....
STEP 1: Login to Google Search Console
Okay, as you may know, Google Webmaster Tools is now known as Google Search Console.
You can login from here:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en
STEP 2: Select the Website, Crawl submenu, Sitemaps
Click on the appropriate website from the list (IF you have more than one) And, then click on the Crawl submenu on the left and selectSitemaps:
The number of Indexed URLS is shown as indicated above. This should be relatively close to what was displayed via the XML Sitemap that we submit to Google. But, may very well differ depending on time of recent Post or Page we have published. But, now you can see the relationship between these two items. What we submit and what Google is indexing.
Okay, sooooo...... how do we get a list of ALL the URLS Google has indexed? And, not just the top 10 that is shown on the first page. What if we want a document we can scan to do a keyword search on for specific posts and pages simply to ensure they are indexed?
Buckle up, gonna show you a neat little trick to do just that!
