Uncheck the Box Meant for Delivering at Your Home Address
Here’s an option to tell Google you deliver goods and services to clients at their respective locations but not at your home address:
- You’d want to log in your GMB listing page
- Drag your mouse and click on the “Edit Info” option
- Select the little Pencil next to the “Address” tab
- Mark the box specifying you deliver goods and services to your customers at their locations
- Complete the info regarding where you make deliveries
- Unmark the box that specifies you deliver to customers at your own address.
Technically, this isn’t going to hide your address as you’re literally blurring the street outlook picture of your home. I got prompted to do this a while ago for a non-business related challenge.
Here the steps to follow to have your home address blurred out:
- Visit Google Maps and enter your home address through the “Search Google Maps” field.
- Open the street outlook, or alternatively, click on the yellow icon and drag onto a street spotlighted in blue.
- Choose the Report a Problem option – on the bottom right-hand side of your screen.
- Drag the picture of your home and drop in the red box.
- Fill in the appropriate field in the “Report Inappropriate Street Outlook” form – You’ll see a new tab/window open whereby you’ll be able to request that your car, your home, a specific face, the license plate of your car, or any other necessary image.
- Submit the completed form – Having completed this form, fill in your email address and hit the Publish button.
- Try checking the address again after a week to find out if the picture was blurred.
