Thanks a lot for this.

I have 3 coverage issues. One shows that my categories were not indexed and show up as errors. Inspecting the URLs it indicates they are listed as no index. These errors are listed for all 33 of my categories. Should I be indexing these categories? I haven't been doing URL inspections for them, but somehow I am receiving these error messages. Do you have any idea about this?

If you are using your categories in your menu it is best to have them indexed for sure! Then you will want to do Google Fetch on each category and submit new sitemaps until the no index error goes away.

Hey Joe,

Kyle's training only ever showed making our Privacy Policy as noindex. Not sure why you decide to make your categories noindex. Glad to see that you got help with this from Stacie.

Actually, I don't know how it happened, but just checked the settings and see it there, so will change it. Thanks for following up. The stuff early in training I somehow forget pretty easily and have to retrace my steps to figure out what the hell I did.

I have the same issue with my categories, but not with all of them, only 11 of them. I also don't have a clue how it happened but nice to read I can send them to Google for indexing and get rid of errors!!

Will check it out and get back to you!

I guess I found the Google irritating checks ...
I asked Google to index one of the 11 error causing URLs. My request was rejected. I removed marks and asked again. Google said yes!

Yeah!
So, Joe, just remove the marks in General Settings, scroll down til nonindex setting. I also added in Keyword settings (at the bottom of general settings) the categories as meta keywords what absolutely makes sense!! They are my keywords. No idea why it wasn't checked!

Please let me know, Joe, if it worked out for you! But I think we are fine!!!

I have made all the checkmark adjustments you suggest and now I am in the process of requesting indexing for all the categories. Hopefully, they will get indexed in a few days.

I got my 7 posts indexed today. I cannot see that in the SiteContent, but in GSC and I can google them.
I'm also waiting for indexing my categories' URLs. This I did today.
