Let's Find Out How To Use Google Search History

Google has a nifty feature in places that records ALL your searches in various browsers and you can refer back to it at any time.

The only draw back is that you have to be logged into your Google Account!

The above image is an example of how you can find your last search of YouTube Videos you watched. There are many options you can select. More on that further on.

Now for those who have a Google Account, this is not a problem, unless you are skeptical about Google knowing everything about your every search and interaction on the internet!

So let's find out how to do this for those who would like to use Google Search History.

1/ Make sure you are logged in to your Google Account

2/ Click on this link to access Google Search History

3/ Now click on Update Setting under the heading of Get More Out Of Google

4/ Once the page has loaded as above, click on Show More Controls at the bottom.

Now you have a list of options to choose what searches you want Google Search History to keep a record of.

Go ahead and select what you want to included, leave blank what you don't want recorded in searches.

NOTE: Please note that some of these options ARE already marked by default, so if DON'T want Google to keep track of these things, make SURE you turn them off!!!

5/ If you want to change and / or Manage Activity on any of these options, click on the blue Manage Activity at the bottom of each option and adjust accordingly.

6/ In order to JUST view your searches you need to Unpause your browser activity on the very first option.

As seen in the image above, the dot on the top right is white and grey when paused.

When you click on the white dot, you will see a box pop up similar to the one seen above to confirm that you want to Turn On activity of your browser for Google Search History.

If you are sure you want to Turn On activity, then click on Turn On at the bottom right of the image that comes up on your screen.

Now your option should look like the image above.

If you don't want it on, you click on the blue dot and it will return to a white dot.

There is also an option to Turn Off these cards which are used in Syncing with Google Chrome, simply click on the blue phrase Turn These Cards Off.

To view your searches, just click on the blue Manage Activity link under each option and you will find your searches.

Thanks a lot for the tutorial.

DO you know how this executable knows of your searches? Does it show searches from different search engines? It seems possible - from the screenshots that you've provided.
