Do you struggle with finding pictures for your posts?

This problem is solved by using variations of your own photos. No copyright issues and fresh new photos will always be at your fingertips.

With just a few clicks Picasa will turn your image into an entire new look. I take a lot of pictures with a digital camera that I save in the Picasa library. The photos are tagged and ready to use for a multitude of writing projects.

This tutorial will demonstrate the tools available in Picasa for editing your photos. See all the image variations I created by using this one simple photo of a cabin on a lake.

First Steps

  1. If you are a beginner to Picasa you will need to download and install Picasa on your computer. Check out the WA tutorial resource “Organize Your Photos with Google's Picasa” to learn how to install and use Picasa.
  2. If you have used Picasa before and have it installed on your computer then use this tutorial as inspiration for editing and creating unique content for your websites.

Picasa is great! I downloaded it after your first training-Organize Your Photos with Google's Picasa and have been experimenting since. It worked great for screen shots in Friday nights Webinar, saved a lot of time writing. My computer didn't come with a very good photo editing program so this worked well for me. Thanks again.

I am so glad you tried it. I am writing two more tutorials. One is using Picasa Web Albums on your iPhone or iPad and the other is making a You Tube video directly from Picasa.

The best part is that the program is free and Google continually updates it.

Hi, I'm trying to upload a picture from Picasa to my ws but it says:

Picasa3.exe exceeds the maximum upload size for this site

Is there a way to fix this?

It sounds like you are trying to upload the whole picasa3.exe file to your w.s. Try exporting the photo to your desktop and then from your website just upload the one picture from your desktop. I can check later today to see what the problem is.
