While many hosts do keep some backups of your website it is your own responsibility to ensure that you have a backup of your own websites. You never know what can go wrong with your website crashing or perhaps someone hacking into your websites.

Need to know how my Dropbox like you used stores the backup and how do I use the backup once in there ? Is it like a file on my computer and can i put it in a file on my computer ? How do I restore my website in Wordpress at W.A. from it ? Site is o.k. just asking........Scotty B ♫

Hi Scotty. With Dropbox it stores your info in the cloud, but you can also have the option with Dropbox to have a Dropbox folder on your computer that syncs with the files you have in the cloud on Dropbox :)
Thankfully I have not had to restore any backups before but if you need to you just go to your Wordpress Dashboard, hover over settings then click on "Updraft Plus Backups" and you will see your backups listed at the bottom, you can just click on "Restore". There is also an option under "more Tasks" to "Upload Backup Files".

Hello, just wondering have you actually tested the restoring part of this process? I been using another WP plugin for backups (and it backs up everything from what I can see including images), and if the website is below 64M it restores grand. If it is over 64M, there are issues. So looking at a plan B ...

My websites hosted here at WA have never needed to be backed up before and I use this plugin for all my sites hosted here. My main business I have never bothered moving here and I have had to restore my site from a backup but my hosting company did that for me. They fully backup my website every day or two. All it took was an email from me and they gave me all the dates and times I could choose to restore my website to.
