A few people have asked me lately how to create training videos here at WA. Well I finally had time to put one together for all to see and learn from.
Enjoy

Fantastic info (again)! On an unrelated note, is it also possible to use this site (SOM) for E-mails? I have an Aunt with macular degeneration, she can't read things like Christmas cards, and I don't have a web cam (for something like Skype). I was hoping something like this, set to a slide show with bright colors would be very nice for her. I know it's not WA related but...

Yes video screen shots are fun and just need to be practiced. ScreenOmatic is one I use which is free. What you need to do is create about 30 recordings to work on and practice with. What I learned to do is show screen videos to my writers, and show them various things I wanted which were inside my websites as editors so as to use the right font sizes, and other editing features. By doing this I got very good at improving just by doing!
I think Tommy has done a very good job here. One thing we want to do is keep them as condensed and as short as possible. So if it means going back over it five times you will produce a much neater clip for view.
There are also special mics to use so you don't hear the clicking of our keys..and that hollow sound we hear when we are talking through a computer mic. :)

Hi Tommy,
A great video and how to go about doing it. Thank you for sharing this with the WA community. It will help a lot of us that might be scared in doing this.
Thank you again!
George
