A hyperlink is part of a document or webpage that connects to another website or page somewhere on the internet. It can be another page or post on your own website or it can be to any one else’s page or post. Typically people use a hyperlink to help clarify something that they are writing about. You can read about hyperlinks at Wikipedia (the free encyclopedia) by clicking this hyperlink.

You can use a hyperlink to link to any other website (external linking) or to posts or pages on your own website (internal linking). Hyperlinks can be part of the text or even pictures.
