If you are curious on how to add a button to your page, this post is for you. There are few reasons why you should use a button instead of an image:

  • It is more professional
  • It increases the conversion rate
  • It is mobile friendly. The text and the box will adjust automatically in different screen sizes in different devices.

Go to website http://www.bestcssbuttongenerator.com/

There are many other websites that you can create a button from but the one above is free and has beautiful design.

This is difficult to follow. What happens with the button when you have done all this? Where does it appear? How is it used? Why not adding button as an image, no need for plugin?

If you answer these questions on page 4 it will make the training more useful.

I assume you noticed, page 4 contains repeated text from page 3.

Wherever you add the HTML code to your post is the place the button will appear.

This post is for someone who wants to add a button to their page so if you want to add an image instead then feel free to do so. However, a button will look more professional.

How is it used? You just need to click on it.

Then why plugin?

This plugin allows you to add CSS code to your website without messing up the original stylesheet.css.

You can add the code directly to the stylesheet.css but I would not recommend to do so, unless you know what you are doing. Also, you will need to contact WA support so that they can activate your stylesheet then you will be able to make changes there

I just tried it, this is my hrml code which I pasted in Text mode:
green

The result is attached. Do not see how to center or move anywhere. Do not have control over it.

You can treat it like a regular text, feel free to set different alignments to it: left, right center. Then add a hyperlink to it if you want to.

So alignment is like with any text. OK.

The final result is an image. So I will have tens or hundreds of them, all without alt text. This is not good for Google.

Adding alt text is not possible because in Visual it is just a word and not an image. What is the solution?

Another thing I did not understand. You write "Make sure that the class "button" matches with what it is in the CSS code (Case sensitive)." It is the same automatically as I see from the plugin.

It is not an image.

The CSS code defines the button. And don't overthink the Google Ranking. Many websites have buttons.

You don't have to add a button everywhere. This is used for Call To Action. Look around in WA website! How many button do you see in here?

The the class "button" is to explain to other folks that it is important to have the same wording.

The final result is an image. My understanding is that search engines detect images but cannot see them, and the same is with people with problems with eyes who use readers, so they both need at text.

Yes I know many sites have buttons, I have 370 posts and some of them have 3-4 calls to action, so the total number is huge. If I use this, they will be without alt text. This is not overthinking, images must have alt text unless you want to reduce your chance for ranking. I would like to use this but I see problems with it.
