You have now successfully located your SSL Certificate and obtained its Expiry Date.

I would add this date to a calendar on your computer or phone, so that you can check your website and that the SSL Certificate has been renewed successfully along with making a note of the new expiry date.

For domain names that you own and that are hosted here at WA, this task needs to be performed four times a year, once every three months.

If this training is now out of date, please let me know below or via PM, and I will get it updated for you.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave a comment below, and either myself or one of the other great WA members here will get back to you :-)

That's why I love WA. I actually learn something new every single day haha!

I had no idea about this hahaha.

Thanks for this training Chrys...

By the way, if Google tends to penalize sites that aren't secure, how come I see sometimes sites not secured on the first page of Google?

You're welcome Warren :-) And it might be a new temporary issue, that Google is providing the benefit of doubt to for a couple of days. Without seeing the exact sites, I can't give a definitive answer

Thank you very much for this helpful guide! I checked the SSL Certificate and it is valid and has a couple months until it renews, some members gave me site feedback yesterday showing that it said non secure so after all these checks and seeing it is valid, I hope this is no longer a problem.

Greatly appreciated!

You’re welcome and glad your SSL Certificate is ok, however, if members are seeing a “Not Secure” message, then this is something different and more than likely due to images using http instead of https.

The post below contains the steps you need to take for every page/post that shows as not secure

Hi Christopher,
Thanks so much for the information. I’m going to check now. Interesting, I had similar issue recently, but I was told that my PHP code language is what has expired which I planned to contact site support tech to help me update it.
Great training.

You're welcome Benson :-) If your website is running PHP 7.2 or 7.3 then you are ok and have nothing to worry about. SiteSupport will be upgrading their servers to 7.4 at some point in the future.

Ok because that’s what they said that is slowing my speed which will affect my ranking negatively.
Now that you mentioned, I will just wait them.

Who's they? PHP 7.2, 7.3 and 7.4 will not slow your website down
