How Can I Check My Ranking?

Most of you ask yourself this question, as sites like Jaaxy and others tend to only show the first page as opposed to your overall rank. There are other sites out there that run into the same issue - not enough data for you to see where you rank if it isn't on the very first page.

Where Do I Go?

Through long hours in live chat and some great advice from fellow Wealthy Affiliates, I have found that there is a site out there that gives you an accurate recording of where your site posts rank and how many posts are in front of it.

If you were to type https://smallseotools.com/keyword-position/ into your browser (or simply go to it here, you will go directly to the site to check your ranking. It has the ability to:

• check up to 20 keywords at a time
  
• give you the overall rank
• refresh the 20 original keywords with new ones at no cost

Remember - with 10 keywords per google page, a rank like 52 would mean you are on the 5th page, second result. Here is an example:

It Is So Easy!

I typed in a website and 5 keywords that there are posts about. You can do up to 20, but for the sake of redundancy I am just leaving it at five. I chose some of the best and worst posts I have written over my time here to give you an understanding of how the positioning works and how accurate it is.

Once you have your site typed and the keywords you want looked up, simply scroll down and click search results and you will find a box like this:

These are the 5 keywords I typed in plus the 5 results. Notice the ranking next to each - they are quite sporadic.

What Does This Mean?

The first one means it is the first result on the first page, while the second means it is the second result on the sixth page, and so on. The one that says not in the top 100 means google has not found it to be in the top 10 pages, or the post itself is not old enough to be recognized yet.

To double check this, we simply go to google and type in the keyword to verify that this site is indeed accurate. For clarity, I just chose the top option. If this site is accurate, the URL for the site should come up as the first result.

First result, so that checked off as accurate. Simply rinse and repeat if you would like to verify each, but I do this quite often and have not found a glitch yet.
