Hello WA,

Here is a video I put together to help people change the color of there text or links on any theme that they may be using, this is helpful in keeping the color scheme of youo website looking the way that you want it and to keep an easy on the eyes approach for your readers.

Here is a sample of the HTML coding that I showed in the video

How would I go about changing the text link color on my website?

You should be able to go to the A on your post or page and be able to change the color there. Blue is considered best

Sometimes your theme's defaults for link colors, text colors, etc., can be changed from the Customizer. To get there, login to your site, then from your Wordpress dashboard click on Appearance, Themes, Customizer.

Not for any theme use, changes are often theme dependant but you also have to keep in mind that what I suggested is a way to do so without slowing your site down too.

Or having another plugin that just has to be maintained.

This is the best route in my opinion.

You can make a child theme but what I do is not make a child theme as I like to view and edit the background if I need to. The linked color change will not be affected by another theme update because it is a html coding and not a theme coding change.

Thank you very much Shane. As you see I know so little, I just follow the instructions.... I was asking because I find your suggestion interesting, BUT I would like to avoid doing things like a child theme, which might make everything even more complicated for me.

Shane, thank you for the "how to's" on changing text colors with and without a link.

This is very beneficial when I need color consistency for a particular theme. This also comes in handy when I change a theme and need to update the color scheme as well.
