Hey there!

I have seen a couple of people posting questions about this and I also just made the same mistake while posting the Privacy Policy on my site Countertop Lifestyle.

So I figured that I might as well make a video about it. I hope it came out alright because I had to record it on my phone but the steps and processes are exactly the same no matter what device you are on.

What You Need To Change Your Post Type

Aside from your site and post/page in question, the only thing you need is the plugin called Post Type Switcher.

You can find that by searching the WordPress repository in your 'Plugins' section of your back office as detailed in the video.

Steps To Change Your Post/Page Type

First you will install the plugin 'Post Type Switcher'.

Then you will go to your page/post.

In the box to the right of your screen if you're on a computer or the bottom of the text box if you're on a mobile device, you will see an additional option where you can edit your page/post type.

Click on the 'Edit' link and change the page/poste type to your desired setting.

Don't forget to click 'Update'!!

And that's all there is to it!

I used that plugin just last week to convert nearly 200 pages to posts on a site I'd built several years ago using a layout that made sense then but which doesn't make sense now.

Made the job much easier.

It could cause some indexing problems with Google, so I installed a plugin called Smart 404 to help with that.

Both plugins were a huge help on a big project.
