Hey friends,
I know we all come from different parts of the world. What Wealthy Affiliate mainly teaches is how to build English websites to either promote WA or make money through promoting other affiliate programs.
However, I know many of you here may have some ideas in your mind to build websites in your language and leverage the local make money opportunities.
I wanted to do that as well. For me, I wanted to build a Mandarin website as I'm from Taiwan.
At first, I thought in order to do that, I need to purchase a domain name else where (not in WA) and install Mandarin version WordPress manually. Because once we hit the build website button in WA, the default language is English.
So, let me show you what you need to do to build a website in other languages in Wealthy Affiliate.
Here's the scope of this training:
- Step 1: Purchasing a domain name
- Step 2: Build your website in WA
- Step 3: 2 Ways to change your website language
- Step 4: Keyword Research, SEO & stuff...
- Conclusion
Let's begin!
There are a few words in the default WordPress template that still appear in English on the site but in Indonesia that seems acceptable. I can get that may not be appropriate for a Mandarin site.
You said: "Also, your Permalink should always be in English regardless of your website's language. This is better for Google to understand and rank your posts/pages." Do you have any evidence for this or is it just your "thinking" .. for example Indonesians are searching in Bahasa not English so how would Google correctly rank a search if the permalink is in English? FYI the Bahasa Character set is the same as English.
Cheers, William.
