First of all, for this training you need :

- An Instagram Account
- A Niche
- Time!

Once you have all 3 of these things, you are ready to start.

You will find 4 sections in this tutorial :

1. Right Profile Setup & Type of Content (page 1)

2. The Tool I use To Create My Content (page 2)

3. Publishing Good Content (page 3)

4. Learn to be Active on Instagram (page 4)

**For your information, the account I use for this tutorial is my new account for my website, it is only 2 weeks and a half young so this explains the low statistics. But it also shows you how strong Instagram can be and how the technics I show work, after it depends on how you use them! :)

Right Profil Setup

First of all, one of the most important thing about your Instagram account is your profile. If your profile doesn't look attractive and engaging, people will likely leave your page even before they have checked your posts and you don't want that. You want people to follow you because you have something to give them.

In a profile we find 5 things :

1. Picture
2. Name
3. Description
4. Link
5. Pinned Stories
6. Transform your account into a professional account

These 5 things should be completed wisely. Your profile will be the first look that you will give to your visitors, make sure they remember you and that they follow you!

1. Picture

If you have an Instagram account it is probably because you want to reach a specific audience with your business (except if it's a personal account, here I'm talking about business account but you can still apply some technics to your personal account).

The first image the Instagram community will see is your picture so it is important that you make it visual. One of the best things you can use is :

- Your business logo
- A picture of you

The logo is good because it shows your brand. The only important thing I would say is to make sure your logo is clear, visual and simple. You don't want a logo that people won't be able to see (since the spot is small and cannot be zoomed).

If your business is more related to you (like if you are offering your services for a course for example), you can put a picture of you. This will help to build trust with your audience. The important point for this part is, if you put a picture of you make sure it looks professional and that people can see your face. Otherwise, you could lose some credibility.

If your business has a logo and is related to you, you can choose between both, it's really up to you.

Try to not put text in your picture except if it's short and readable. Like I said, the spot is really small so people won't be able to see it correctly.

If you would like to put something else as a picture you can, just make sure it is related to your niche and that it won't make people leave your page.

2. Name

This is really simple, make sure to write the name of your business or just your name (depending on your business). Keep it simple.

3. Description

This is an important part of your profile because it is the second thing your visitors will see. Most of the time, even before taking a look at content, people will read your description.

Keep it simple and write the purpose of your :

- Instagram account OR
- What your business do for your audience

People must read what you have to give them with your page. You can add emojis to attract their attention.

Your description doesn't have to stay always the same. You can change it to see how it reacts with your visitors, if you have more conversions (as followers) or not.

4. Link

This is where people will want to see your business, what you have to give them so use it wisely! Mixted with your description, you can add a simple sentence looking like : ''Build your business for free now'' with the link to one of your customable subscription.

Or you can just put the link to your website homepage. If you are promoting your new posts from your website on Instagram, I suggest you put the link of your promoted article while it is (normally I leave it for approximately 24h because anyway after 24h it is less ''active'').

**To shorten your link, you can use bit.ly (this is what I use) and you don't need an account to transform your link. If you want to see more statistics on your link, then you should create an account with bit.ly.

Try to vary the link that you put there so that it is not always your affiliate link. Your audience will see that you want to share something with them and not only sell them your product(s).

5. Pinned Stories

Stories are another important point for your profile. It shows to your visitors that you are active and that you share a lot of content. I will explain more in detail how to use stories but here, it's more about ''pinned''. Once you have put a story, you can pin it to your profile page and people will always be able to see it instead of it disapearing after 24h. If you have new visitors, they'll be able to see your activity and probably will be more likely to follow you since you are an active acount.

That's basically it for your profile setup. Keep it simple, clean, clear and concise.

Type of Content

The last point I wanted to talk about on this page is the type of your content. Make sure the content that you post is related to your niche. You don't want to share things that don't make sense with your business. Your goal is to reach a specific audience well it is the same thing as any other social media, be relevant.

You must be CONSISTENT. Consistency is crucial for your Instagram account to work well (like any other social media). It is recommend to post 2-3 posts per day, but not more to not be spammy. It will show your followers that you are active and sharing great content. You should also use the story feature like I told you above. It will be more explained how to use it later.

Let me show you a screenshot of my profile page for the moment (because I changed it often) :

6. Transform your account into a professional account

I really suggest you to do it if you want to follow the statistics of your account. It tells you the impressions you get for every post, it gives you information on your audience (when 100+), etc. It is really a nice tool to follow your progression and see what works and doesn't work.

To do so you go in the Settings > Account > and you choose ''Switch to professional account''.

As simple as that :)

Now that your profile is all set up, we can start creating some content! But How? Let's see on page 2!

Wow, you've just shared with us the complete IG marketing blueprint from beginning to end! Thank you Audrey!

I'm absolutely blown away by how detailed you've made it:
- Regularly switching up the profile bio / link to avoid "visitors fatigue", that's something I did not know for example.
- Comment per hour limits, DMs per week limits: Also, I didn't know this, and this is VERY important to avoid being banned (and losing all the hard work).
- Hashtags: Just this info alone that you shared on #hashtags is extremely valuable! I like how in your strategy, you're using a healthy mix of competition. (Thanks for sharing the competition numbers, too, that's very helpful!)

Side note: I have made the same experience as you with hashtags, where simply adding more tags didn't increase visitors / likes / comments. So I agree with you that hashtags is really about finding the right ones, instead of using more ones. Your suggested mix looks like the best strategy to me!

I'm following you on IG and I can see that you do exactly what you preach - and I also know from your results that this works.

Thanks for sharing your complete strategy with us on WA, it's much appreciated!
