Step 1. Where to get the Code

The first step is to visit the Google YouTube Subscribe Button configuration tool here:

https://developers.google.com/youtube/youtube_subs...

You will be presented with the following screen:

Also, if you scroll down a wee bit, you'll have a dynamic preview of the button that will appear on your website. --- Meaning, whatever changes you make with each of the configuration options, will immediately be reflected in the preview:

Then, there is the actual code you'll need to copy and put into your WordPress Sidebar Widget.

Okay, so let's take a closer look at the options and what you'll need to decide on:

The first option is the Channel Name or ID.

The default shows GoogleDevelopers which is a little confusing, but no worries, I'll show you exactly what to do to replace this with your information.

Step 2: Click the ID link

Within the Channel Name option, click the wee ID link as indicated below:

Step 3: Get your ID

NOTE: Be sure you are logged into your Google Account and this works seamlessly.

When, you click the ID link as shown above, you will be taken to your YouTube Account Overview area as shown in the image below:

Check and ensure the email address is yours. :-)

Then, COPY the YouTube CHANNEL ID - Which is the part I underlined horribly above. LOL!

Hey Michael, my theme has options for both of those, but I'll see what I can find in order to not have to install a plugin for each.
