Hey there,

In this training, I'm showing you how to add your menu to your footer.

***If you are looking for training on how to create a menu, this training will help you:

Steps To Add Your Menu To Your Footer

  1. Create a new menu as per the above training.
  2. Go to 'Appearance' > 'Widget'
  3. Locate the 'Footer' tab for widget(s) if your theme has any
    1. Your theme might not have footer unlocked on the free version. You may need to get the premium version if this is the case. I wouldn't waste time finding a new theme because it's time consuming and your time is better spent on your business.
  4. Drag the 'Custom Menu' widget to the 'Footer' tab.
  5. Select the menu that you want to show.
  6. Press 'Save'
    1. Don't forget this step!

Now when you load your pages and posts your new menu should appear in the footer.

Note that the footer is under all content of your site including comments, featured suggestions, navigation, etc.

I hope this training is helpful. If you have any questions, comments or other feedback, please leave them in the comments box below.

Thanks! That was very helpful. I was having a little trouble with widgets and menus and this clarifies this issue for me.

Why would a reader need to go down to the foot of a page (and in the case of so many websites one VERY long page) to read a menu? What next? A menu on the back of a page? How about one teeny-weeny menu on the edge of a page?

Some people do read through all the information of a site. Others just quickly scroll through and end up at the bottom. It's always better to have it there just in case.

Thanks for training. Instructions is clear. Just put my Affiliate Disclaimer and Privacy Policy to the footer and removed it from the top of the page. Looks much better as a result.
