- Select your background image URL and either right-click and <Copy> or press CTRL-C.
- Navigate back to your CSS stylesheet and locate your background line of code.
- Paste your background URL where you it saysYour Image URL Here. Make sure to keep the quotation marks. Your new background line of code should look like the following:
- After you are done, scroll down and click the blue button that says Update File:
- Now take a look at your site in your browser:
- Your background image is now appearing on your website.
NEXT PAGE: In the next page, I will show you how to add code to your background that will make your background image less obtrusive so it does not block your text. You will learn how to tell the program to not repeat the image and only have one image on the upper right hand side.

Awesome, Steph, thank you. May I ask, what is the reason why people would want to add background image, does it affect the seo aspect of it. I ask because I do have thoughts to change the background. ;))
