So ...

In order to make your map public, click the "Share" link in the edit panel:

You'll be taken to the sharing center. Click the "Change" link in the "Who has access" section:

Then you need to select "On - Public on the web":

Finally, click the "Save" and "Done" buttons to close the sharing center panel.

And that's it. Now you are ready to diaplay your newly created map on your website.
