Adding an Amazon banner to your website is quick and easy and could give your Amazon affiliate sales and bounties a big boost.

You can grab your Amazon banner code from within your earnings section. Hover your mouse over the "product linking" option in the top menu and then click on banners. You will find all the different categories and banner sizes available as well as the html codes.

To add the code to your sidebar go to your Wordpress dashboard, hover over "appearance" and click on "widgets".

Then click on "Custom html" and add it to your sidebar, then paste the code into the content section.

If you don't have custom html choose the text widget.

Hi Lynne, thank you for this demonstration. Quick and easy! I am not an Amazon affiliate. I understand that before one applies for affiliate status it is better to have a decent looking website up and running as many of them do a site check when you apply. Is this correct?

Thanks again and all the best.

Hi Brian

I am not sure what their process is for approving your account in the beginning but I do think that they check your website. I do know that a lot of people apply way too early for an affiliate account and it really is important to ensure that you have some traffic to your website because you get 3 months from the time you are approved as an Amazon affiliate to make a sale. If you don't they boot you out and I am not sure what the process if for reapplying.

I would recommend spending some time getting your website going first before applying for your Amazon affiliate account.

Thanks for the feedback. I only started getting set up just over a month ago so it would be best to let the dust settle and establish the site and then I'll look into it.

Yeah I would rather make sure you are getting some traffic and engagement before applying. I love being an Amazon affiliate - the biggest range of products plus loads of banners and opportunities to earn and a great conversion rate!

Have you added your code to a text widget or a custom html widget and what exactly are you seeing on your frontend? Give me some more info about the problem you are encountering so I can help you.
