- Invest some time learning what the article is actually proposing
- Have a preloaded gravatar
- Ensure that you're not spamming
As we ALL know why we should comment on other blogs: For backlinks, traffic, and branding.
But what most bloggers usually do is to simply scratch at the surface of the article without going into the depth of it and start offering sub-standard comments.
Some phrases or blog comments to be avoided are:
- "Useful post"
- "Nice info"
- "Amazing article"
Such comments may be positive in nature, but they add no value whatsoever to the post. This is discouraging.
You will not benefit from your meager efforts, and you will be hurting your own brand name.
The only time comments will help is if the comments add value and are meaningful, relevant, and useful additions to a post.
So to do this, you should focus on parts of the proposal and stay on topic. Normally, reading at least 60% to 70% of the article is recommended if you have time constraints though reading it in toto is always a better practice.
Always speak from your heart and help the blogger improve its work. If you disagree with a certain point, do it politely and do not repeat what's already been said.
This practise will pave you to build up a good relationship with everyone and increase your own brand positively.
