Let us add the new widget area in our theme
The place needed as per this example in home page only, so I can put feature images as slide show which link to my Post
for doing this two things are needed
- Registering the WIDGET by editing Functions.PHP file
- Add PHP code to the home Page of theme for displaying that particular WIDGET wherever we want
Appearance----Editor- in Templates left Funtions.php
