Now that we have established that Facebook is an ideal social platform to drive affiliate traffic, let's look at some strategies you could adopt.
1 - Be Transparent
Your social media campaigns shouldn't be a one-off thing but an avenue to build a lasting relationship with your target audience. That's why you will need to be transparent with those you are trying to attract through your social media campaigns.
Do not include any spurious offers or any information that is misleading. Remember that news travel very swiftly on social media, especially the type of news that is damaging to your brand.
2 - Do Not Include Your Direct Link
You might be tempted to include your direct link into your Facebook posts simply because it is cheap and fast. However, doing it this way will turn around to bite you; that's if Facebook doesn't get you banned first.
The right thing to do is build a landing page where you'll be directing the social traffic and include the page's link instead. That way, you'll be able to attract only those who have a genuine interest in your offers.
3 - Target the Right Demography
Facebook is filled with different kinds of people, different needs, different interests, and different backgrounds.
No brand can singlehandedly provide offers that will meet the needs of all the different types of Facebook users. That's why you need to target the right demography when choosing your offers and campaign strategies.
One of the best ways of doing this is to create a Facebook page around your chosen niche and build up the group. It might be time-consuming but you will find it rewarding because you will learn so much about your target audience from this group.
From the insights that you will receive you'll find it easier to attract the right audience that needs the offers, you're promoting.
4 - Make Use of Smart Affiliate Tools
The Facebook Ads Manager offers lots of tools to target the right audience; retarget your posts, and track your performance.
If you're able to use these tools effectively, you'll witness better results with your Facebook marketing.
