Google Analytics is a free tool allowing you to keep track of how many people visit your website, how long they stay and how many pages they view. And much more in depth information about what they click and what they view, as shown in the image below.

But it also counts your visits to the website. Everytime you work on it or write something, it counts it as another visitor, which might affect your overall experience by making you believe you get a lot more visits than you actually do.
