I have been wondering if I had been missing something and now I know I have. So, thank you, Trish, for putting this out here for us. It will a big help to many.
I have done one of my sites now, I'm off to do the other.

PS Update: I've been wondering why I have not gotten many comments on my first site. This could be the reason. Just finished updating comments on pages and posts for both websites. I guess we will see. Thanks again

Another update. While I was taking the steps you recommended I noticed that a bunch of my posts had no keywords on the keyword column of the page that lists all my posts so, spent another hour+ correcting that as well.
No keywords to search for could mean that people couldn't find my website?
If that is true it would explain a lot of things and why my first website hasn't done as well as I had hoped.
Can you enlighten me?

Think you may be referring to the keywords option found on your All Posts page that the All In One SEO added to our websites. Though some claim filling the keywords in there is important ... well, I have not ... though I had started some post, I soon gave up.
If you write compelling copy, you WILL have visitors. However, if you are simply rewriting (in your own words, of course) subject matter that is already out there online by several other blogs, then ... your site may not rank as well as you might hope.
