Controlling your emails is a common query here at WA. And it can be done using WA features.

The answer is to use the WA Activities and Notifications on the top menu that appears when you log into Wealthy Affiliate.

I had been getting upwards of 80 emails a day. As I always have at least a quick glance through them I was wasting a lot of time opening, closing and deleting them when I finished.

I finally got totally fed up with this constant repeat activity. Not because of the information but just because of the quantity of seemingly unnecessary actions. Something Nathaniell said about looking at posts etc within WA using the Notification tab started me thinking about how to use it. Then I looked at the Activities too.

I decided to experiment.

For the next fortnight (two weeks) I checked my emails against the Notification and Activities boxes. And found that all my emails were in either of these two boxes except for the likes. Those I hadn’t been worrying about anyway as I answer or like all the responses to my creations and can see then if mine have been liked.

I received a comment recently with from LynneHuy with a link to a video tutorial she just did. I am including a link to her tutorial. Please note that I searched this on Chrome and it didn't yet appear. It did come up on Edge and Firefox straight away.

This got lumped in my ' too much to read ' category. Since both Keith and I comment on stuff at WA we forward all emails away from us to our junk account in a special category there. So for the most part we don't see them. We are too busy to live in WA so we just get to them when they can. When I left WA a while ago i deleted nearly 9000 emails.

Now I don't need to delete any of them. The activities stay in the list and the notifications disappear when read. And I can make my mind up when I do the reading and my email account is not filling up. Except for the drongo FBers who insist on telling me everything they do. Don't read these but it takes a bit of time to sort out. Unfortunately one is my brother so I need to be a bit tactful about letting him know I don't want so many. Actually I am not being tactful. I just disagree with most things he says. Hopefully he will get the message.

That was my original problem so I ignored them. I am sure glad I decided to tackle them.

Thank you so much, Helen. That was very informative. I actually followed along on another screen for each lesson. I have already cut down on emails I receive but the rest of the training was all new. This will save so much time I can't believe it. Rick

Basically I only get the Webinar announcements and reminders by email. A piece of cake to control.
