If you been here for more than a day and watched the WA live chat, you've probably already seen members post short URL links like:
d.pr/i/AbCdE

These are links created from using the free software located at Droplr.com

This video will show you how to use the software to quickly and easily share screenshots and much more. Droplr also keeps track of how many times a URL has been clicked.

Thanks, Craig. I looked at Droplr the other day but haven't had time to explore. Great training.

Thanks, I'm thinking this can be very useful, especially if you're sharing something through social media.

I do have a question though, what do you use to create the video itself?

Thanks for the comment, the software I use to create videos is called Camtasia Studio, it's not free but you can get a 30 free trial.
Nathaniell just created a new training, I haven't watched it yet but he does cover free and paid options.

That looks like a really nifty little software tool. Thanks for sharing your knowledge about it with everybody. Your instructional video left out several important steps for how to get it to work after you register and install the software.

In order to grab a screen capture and save it as an image you have to right click your droplr icon found in your system tray. (This was very unclear in the video, as the droplr icon in your system tray is not visible in the video). Then you do like the video said, and it should work as advertised. I was a bit confused because the video truncated the system tray and the droplr icon.

Hopefully this will help whoever decides to use this software.

Thanks the comment, at the 1:10 point I added an overlay that mentioned the Droplr icon wasn't in view and I wasn't going to redo the video just too display it.

And you're right I did leave out the part about holding down the left mouse key and dragging to select, but hopefully a little common sense and people will figure it out.

Pressing the Escape key will cancel it, you simple let go of the mouse key.

Craig, that was awesome. i too was wondering how to manipulate text, photos, and other content using Droplr. I was totally unfamiliar with the program and process. I'm going to go practice it now.
