Hey!

I had a thread going that showed people how to find a niche in 3 minutes or less. I also have it on my web page... But... Let's talk a little theory.. The reason the thread is so profoundly helpful to people is because of ONE thing:

People are scared to "venture" into an "unproven" niche!

People are SCARED

YES SCARED

Of NOT promoting something that is overflowing. They're scared that if they DO NOT promote MAKE MONEY or GOLF or DOG TRAINING or EX BACK or ACNE or WEIGHT LOSS that they will NOT make money. This is SO NOT TRUE!

Lies!

You can promote ANYTHING that people are searching for... ANYTHING that people need to solve their problems... You can make money from it!

It doesn't have to be a niche that everybody is obsessed with! Sure, they sell really well, but what ELSE would sell really well if you gave it a chance?

Example... Wee!

I'm buying a camera for somebody for Christmas... You know what I typed in? "What's the best point and shoot digital camera?"

What results come up?

General reviews about cameras

NOTHING is optimized for that phrase. Nothing! And guess who TYPES that in... Somebody who WANTS to buy a camera... SOON!

I know I did! After doing the research that came from that phrase, I bought one. I think the commission must have gone to a camera review site!

You could have been #1 on that phrase and gotten a quick $50 just from me!

Don't be scared of other niches!

If somebody WANTS SOMETHING... They will SEARCH FOR IT and BUY IT! They will!

If you don't show them... Somebody else will!

Do you know what other keywords are good for these other niches? "how to " keywords... this is a bit off topic... But anybody searching HOW TO DO something is going to NEED a product at some point. Or at least there is a PRODUCT that you can SHARE with them (yes, SHARE, not SELL, SHARE) and see if they want to get the product to make it easier!

I have really, really curly hair. Realllllly curly hair. Usually I cut it short, but recently I've been a bit adventurous. I need to know the best way to manage curly hair for men without it looking like a nuclear warhead went off on my head. What'd I type in?

"how to deal with curly hair for men"

Something along those lines... And you know where I ended up?

1. AskMen had an article... And I bought a product that they showed would help me MANAGE it SO easily. It's a leave in conditioner... LOL... Getting a little FEMININE NOW... But no joke my hair is out of control hizzle

2. YouTube videos, by women, made for women, but it appealed to me because it went over a product that definitely can help.

I'm losing so much dignity sharing the above =( LOL

Seriously though, I had a SMALL problem.. I wanted INFORMATION. The INFORMATION shared a PRODUCT that could HELP ME. I checked it out, and I purchased!

Imagine if somebody was smart and said "Dude, I know how you feel, just put in your email and in a couple days we'll have your hair behaving properly"

I would be on somebody's list... and they could send me products, pictures, videos... Everything! And I personally would look at EACH ONE because this is a problem that I CARE ABOUT as I'm tired of having my hair short all the time =)

And this is ME. I'm an EASY GOING PERSON who doesn't have to go to a JOB. If i had to go to a JOB... Man... I would care 3x more than I already do!

And this is HAIR!

What a NON emotional niche!

What if we were talking.. Divorce... Children... Pain... Disease... Work needs... Personal needs... Travel information... Trip information... Money saving techniques... Comfort... Discomfort...

Stuff that actually causes an emotional difference. What if it were one of THOSE?

This is HAIR! Just imagine...

So don't be scared of new niches! Really put yourself in their position. Put yourself in my position! Ladies, especially, you probably know what I'm talking about! You can put yourself in my position e-a-s-i-l-y.

Why do MOVIES affect us so well? They PULL US IN to the situation of the character... And we cheer for them... Cry with them.. Etc... You need to do the same, but backwards!

And tell them!

Anyway, the core of this message has left me (LOL), so I think I'll stop here =)
