The CreativeLive Cookie
CreativeLive is one of the affiliate programs offered by ShareASale. So, all tracking links, reporting and commission payments are managed through ShareASale.
After signing up for the CreativeLive Affiliate Program (via ShareASale), you'll be given a unique affiliate tracking link. The link comprises your unique Affiliate ID so that ShareASale gets informed when you send traffic to the CreativeLive website.
The tracking link is used on your website or social media to direct visitors to the CreativeLive website. CreativeLive stores your affiliate ID in a tiny text file (cookie) in the visitor’s web browser. The purpose of Cookies is to track website visitors.
Cookies expire as well; the ShareASale cookie lasts for 30 days.
What this implies is that if the person you referred purchases a course from CreativeLive within 30 days of clicking your affiliate link, you’ll be credited for the sale. The crediting still happens even if they return to the website with or without your link.
This period is known as the “Cookie Life“, and 30 days for cookie expiry life isn’t a bad deal.
How and When Do Affiliates Get Paid By CreativeLive?
You are not paid directly by CreativeLive. They have entrusted all the authority of the Affiliate program to the ShareASale Affiliate Network.
ShareASale payments are made through Check or Direct Deposit. Payments are made on the 20th of every month for the previous month’s locked commissions. This means that commissions that you earn in April, for instance, are eligible for payment on 20th of May.
Best wishes :) ~Sherry
