This can cause people to be turned off when reading your content and simply click off of your website. To avoid these mistakes you can make sure you are using your words correctly.
Do you get words confused sometimes? Do you read something and cringe every time someone says your instead of you're? Do you know the difference in words?
I have done transcribing before and looking at words is second nature to me. Even so, at times, I make mistakes on words too. It is not because I don't know the difference, but because I get in a hurry and I am on autopilot.
Some words sound so similar, it's easy to confuse or misuse them when writing. Spell check will not tell you to correct these because they are spelled correctly. And sometimes even grammar check will not pick up on them. I am attempting to make this a quick reference that you can refer to in times of need.
These are the most common misused or confused words. There are many more and I will continue to add to this list so check back often. Use this guide to make sure you are using the correct word when you are writing your content.
