I just want to reiterate a few points from the video:

  • You should NOT change the permalink of a post after it's published
  • If you do change a title, it should be something similar to the original
  • If you want to make a very different title, just create a whole new post
  • If you are ranking already, changing your title mighthurt your rank

But, if you understand all those points and still want to change your title, it's not like it's going to break your website or get you into any trouble.

*Sorry for typo in title. It originally said Post/Page but the "/" was removed after publishing.

I've changed 2 of my page titles from "About Me to About Edy" and "WA Review to My Recommendation". No plan to get it ranked, so it should be okay.
Thanks man for the explaination on the video!

Hi Nathaniell. Thank you for an excellent training. I found it very helpful.

I have one question. Is it ok to delete a page that has no content at all? Because as I built my site I created pages and as I went along I realized I wasn't going to do those pages after all so I deleted them. Now I'm worried.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

I think you are fine deleting blank pages. I have done this before with no issues. A post is different, especially if it is already ranked.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience with us Nathaniel,.
It's always good to read your take on certain things which may go un-answered, and lead to us doing things wrong because we did not know the correct or recommended way.
Keep it coming !!
