So we have now signed up at the website we will need to use to start our article marketing career. We have looks at a couple of tools that WAU offers to help us write articles and make the articles SEO friendly. What's next?

It's time to start writing! This is the fun part in my opinion because this is where you get to show some creativity and build on what you have learned so far.

This next part shows you how I used all these tools, step-by-step, in order to start article marketing. Ready? Go:

1.) Research:

Go to the Clickbank website and search for a product you want to sell. There are many guides concerning how to do this so I wont cover it in detail. However, I will tell you that you need to go to Clickbank, login, on the top right of the page is a link to "marketplace" so click that, that opens up a search area, use that to find a product.

Once you find a product that you like, there is a link under the product that says "Create a HopLink" or something to that effect. Click this. It opens up a new window that lets you build a way to track your clicks. Place your ClickBank name in the first box, and in the second, place something that you will remember this product as. If it was tooth whitening, I would name it something like "toothwhitening1". Name it anything you like!

2.) Keyword Selection:

Once you find a product, let's find some keywords to advertise it! Open up the Keyword Research Tool here at WAU. Start looking for keywords that you think would be good search phrases that people would use to find the product you picked. I personally aim for long keyword phrases. For example: Instead of using the keyword phrase "tooth whitening". I would look at "how to whiten my yellow teeth". The reason for this is that when you search these two keyword phrases, the second one comes up with less results and will be easier to advertise.

Rule of Thumb: Find keywords or keyword phrases that have results of less than 5000 search results. To figure this out, go to a Google search page. Type in how to whiten my yellow teeth but use quotes around that phrase - like this: "how to whiten my yellow teeth". This is called "quoted results". Now look at the number of search results on the top right-hand side of the page. If it's 5000 or less, we found a good keyword to use!

3.) Rapid Writer:

Now open Rapid Writer and start writing about your product! We are going to write two articles. One for our website and one for EZA. Make sure that the two articles are different. That means that using the same keyword or keyword phrases is fine, but make sure the two articles are different. I write a long article for my website and a short or brief "eye catcher" for EZA. Do whatever you like though.

If you don't know anything about the product, take 15 minutes to search for it on Google and read about. Find an article or website and pull some information from it, then re-write it into your own words. Be very careful not to copy what someone has already written. This is illegal... against the law.

Before you actually start writing, place your keyword phrase into the box on the right of Rapid Writer. This will monitor how many times you use your keyword. The aim is to use it between 1% to 3% in your article. So write your articles, two of them about your product and tell your audience why it is so great and why they need it.

NOTE: To copy and paste from Rapid Writer please do the following. On a PC: Highlight your text then hold CRTL and press C. This will copy the article. Now when you go to paste the article, please go to the box that you want to paste in and hold CRTL and press V. One a Mac it's the AppleKey C or V respectively.

4.) Submitting Time:

Pre-Submitting Note: Some of you are having trouble placing links in your sites due to the fact that they are affiliate links. There are many FREE places to build a website. Wordpress.com is just one I have used. You can use Blogger, Wordpress, Hub, Squidoo or any others you like. If you still can't get your links to work, I recommend this tutorial by robbie to help you cloak your links. Just know that link cloaking does NOT work for Ezine as well as some other places. Use at your own risk, and if all else fails, I would use Blogger.com as your main website instead of Wordpress.

Once you have written your two articles, reread them 3 times. Once as a proof read in your head, the next you should read it out loud and slowly. You will find grammar and typos possibly at this stage. And the final read is done slowly and out loud again to ensure there are no more errors after correcting all your work.

Go to Wordpress.com and open your website/blog. Go to the "Post" section of it and place your article from Rapid Writer into the new post. Create a title for the article and make sure to use your keyword in the title. Once you have checked your work, submit the article and check to make sure that it is live on your website! Easy!

Note: Make sure you added a link to your product in this article! Here is how to create a hyperlink using words, not just a link with basic HTML. Change the part that says YOURlinkGOEShere.com to whatever your affiliate link is that you got from ClickBank. Change the "Your Words Go Here" part to add the words you want them to click on. I recommend not using "Click Here". Instead, use your keyword phrase! The search engines like that more.

Next, go to EZA and submit the second article there. Make sure you pick the right category at EZA to submit the article to. In the bio box of this article, include a link ONLY to your website with the article you wrote on your site as the link. Remember, EZA doesn't allow links to products but does allow links to personal websites/blogs. So, in the Bio Box, add a link to your website or blog where your article about your product is. You can use the example above to do that, just remember to change the YOURlinkGOEShere.com part to now reflect a link to your website!

5.) Wait, But Don't Stop:

Now you have to wait for Google to find your website/blog and for EZA to accept your article. But don't just wait! Get to work to build backlinks and more articles!

Backlinks are links on the internet that point to your site or article. So now you want to build some backlinks so that Google thinks your article is important and people are linking to it! Easy huh? Use things like Twitter, Facebook, forum signatures, link submission websites and the like to post a link to your new website/blog or article.

Write more articles! Think of it this way, the internet is huge - we are talking BILLIONS of websites and articles. Do you think one simple article is going to make you a million dollars?! I doubt it. So as article marketers, we know that we need to write and write daily! The more articles you have out, the more likely someone is going to find them and buy from you!
