When building a Website in Wordpress

The ability to add links to your content, text, images to direct your users to external website pages or pages within your website is an important task to master.

Highlight the text that you want to turn into a link and click the anchor chain in your texteditor in the top of your content, then a inline link toolbar will appear and this is where you enter the URL, you want your text to link to, if you forget http:// in your URL it will be added by wordpress. Okey, so when you have entered the URL click the apply button or hit your enter key on your keyboard. And that is really all you have to do, now you have a link in your text, that takes your visitor to wherever you wanted him to go.

If you don't highlight any text and still click the anchor chain, Wordpress will use your URL that you enter as your link text as this one : http://insidemarketingwebsite.com/

or you can simply click the anchor chain to open up the inline link toolbar, and start typing the name of one of your posts or pages, a dropdown list will then appear and you can choose from the list of your posts / pages to insert the link to point to them. Like this :
