Since most of the code is written for you, ready to copy as it is, the following question raises:

Where to paste code in wordpress?

The answer is simple. You can add or paste your code in

  1. The text of your wordpress editor, or
  2. in widgets.

What is the difference?

Writing or adding code in text, will enhance your text with banners or scripts allowing to display extra adds or affiliate links in pages and post. This only affects the post ot page where pasted.

Pasting code in widgets affects the frame of your website. Pasted in sidebar or footer, it indeed shows up on every page or post of your website.

This raises the question of how? Which we will look at in the following pages.

Ps

Note that some themes have extra possibilities to add codes in headers, or at the end of all your text. Check that out! And know it is an extra asset for the future.

Good job, Fleeky, but to me code is still scary. I am just afraid I will mess something up in there...

Yes...

When copying html code and pasting, nothing can really go wrong... just paste in the right place (text tab or html widget)

Give it a try with the black friday banners... and see for yourself...
;-)

Good luck
